My name is Andrew and im a sophomore here at RCHS.I expect to learn things i might use later on in a career as video editing is a job market that is growing. My favorite movie is Kill Bill the thing that really got me inspired to join this class is the director Quentin Tarantino since i really like his movies.

Describe the process of creating your one-shot and multi-shot films... How did you work as a group to develop what shots should be taken? How are you approaching the editing process? What have been some successes and hurdles in these first projects? How do you feel your views on film have changed now that you've had a taste of the work involved?

For our first one shot story we really brought out multiple ideas from each person in the group, for example the overall idea of our first video was given to us by one of our teammates. We used his idea as start and as we went came up with new ideas.

My approach for for the editing was really to have a smooth video without having to edit anything out, I wanted a smooth intro and credits scene so it would look great.

At first video editing was somewhat difficult since we had to get learn things that i didn't really understand at first. After a while some concepts got easier.

I still have the same views on film,I think its a great art form and now understand some of the struggles of making these films like the length it takes to make one and also the things you have to do to get the desired effects.

Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography?

My personal favorite shot we recorded was the low angle shot since it was the most fun one,I don't think i used it in the final video but it was the most fun one to shoot.

My least favorite shots to film were shots that were not really that different from each other like the 3/4 shot. These were more boring and not as exciting to film.

People don't realize that these things take longer to film then they look and take more effort than it seems. Some shots take really long since they require lots of setup and everything needs to be perfect.

Reflect on the process of creating your TV Show Pilot: 1) Provide a logline (plot in a single sentence) for your original CJ6: Screenplay. 2) Connect what you designed for CJ7: costume(s) to the story you created - why did you design what you designed based on the story?

My design is based on one of the characters from the story, one of the characters name is Pancho Western and i designed him with a pancho to go with his overall theme.

3) Tell, too, about the TV Show Pilot you filmed and edited with your group...

This video was more dificult to film but came along good and was not too difficult to film.

3a) what was it like to work with a script and 3b) what types of shot(s) do you feel brought the show to life most?

Working with a script was easier but more takes were needed since you needed each part to look perfect. We could not get the variety of shots we wanted but we got a good amount.i feel the one character Pancho western was the funniest and made the video.

1) What are your two biggest psychological barriers when it comes to making films?

One of my biggest psychological barriers was when i first started trying to understand everything i was being taught all at once and attempting to use it made it difficult because i didn't know how to do anything correctly, eventually it all came together and i was able to do things without others help.Another barrier was being able to come up with good ideas on the spot, i did eventually learn to do this because of all the different projects we did.

2) Then finish off the entry by recalling the biggest success or an ah-ha moment that you've had this term. Provide details about what made it a great moment for you and how you felt you grew from the experience.

My biggest ah-ha moment was when i put all these techniques together and realized that all the different video editing components really did flow together better than i had thought. A good example of this is when i edited a video and thought it would look cheesy until the end and it ended up looking a lot better than i had thought.

Describe your experience shooting this project in the film studio with the added lighting elements. How do you feel the studio time affected your final product quality?

The studio lighting added a more professional look to the video by giving our pre flashback scene a nicely lit area.

Additionally, how did you approach the montage portion of your film. Describe what you chose to cut together and what effect you hope for it to have on your audience as a part of your "Flash Forward" film.

For our montage we put together clips of one of my teammates sneaking around and we chose this to add a funny element to our montage.

Best actor, you got this because of the emotional you showed while being recorded.
