Howdy, I'm Dan. I'm just a 14 year old nerd who likes to look at memes. I chose this class for the all important reason of, it looked neat.

The process of making our first two films was amazing in my experience! There was quite a bit of goofing off but we got our stuff filmed in time and it turned out really well. As a group we all seem to work well, we have ideas that the others agree with and work together really easily. The editing process is a bit annoying at times due to the constant lag of After Effects but other than that it's really neat! I've been wanting to learn about this kind of stuff for a while and it's nice to finally have a class that lets me do that. While filming the only real obstacle we had to face was other people. Who would've guessed people would go to the bathroom while we were filming? Overall though I feel as though I have a higher appreciation of the people who do this as a living. As fun as it is it can be difficult at times.

I love the extreme close up shot. It's perfect with correct comedic timing. As for my least favorite, it would have to be over the shoulder. It's not the easiest to capture and in my opinion doesn't look amazing in beginner or professional projects.

AAA NO! I HIT SUBMIT TOO EARLY!
Anyways just one last thing and then I'm done. All of these angles and shots I've learned about has added up in my respect for filmmakers. It's a lot more difficult than most people make it seem to be.

The plot of my pilot was one of those overly done family sitcoms, I planned to add way too many laugh-tracks at unnecessary p[points. I designed a character from my own story. He's a 9 year old who would fit in with other 9 year olds so he wears minecraft and fortnite shirts. The plot of our pilot was a dark figure kidnapping children. Like Stranger Things. As good as that show is I think we did it better.

Alright so, these past weeks have been great. I've made new friends and made some pretty great videos. The biggest road bumps for me would have to be my social anxiety and just not knowing what to do in between scenes where I'm not needed. My biggest revelation would have to have been in the latest video, I felt like I could actually achieve something when I managed to do a scene in only two takes.

I don't know, I wasn't in the film. I just shot behind the scenes stuff on my phone. That's it. It was boring.

It's been a while but a movie that I've seen that's put me on edge was probably Avengers: Infinity War. It had me feeling all the feelings. The film was shot in a relatively dim light. It really set the atmosphere of the movie well. As a film maker, I want to scare people, but I feel I'd have more luck in making an audience feel on edge and anxious about something, soothing that fear by making it seem like everything is fine and the crisis has passed, and then bringing the crisis back for a few seconds to cause utter disaster and sadness and oh no, all your favorite characters are dead aaaaaaaaaa.

I wasn't sure what "best category" you fit into but you are kind and funny and you were for the most part always helpful and you are a good actor and I am glad I was given the opportunity to work with you and be your friend.

I award you with The Most Patient Dude (that low-key sounds stupid af). You could put up with me so that's legit. Yeah... I don't know what else to say... 👌

Presenting was hard. I pretty much just converted my nervousness into enthusiasm. The unit overall has been really fun. I've made some good friends and had a lot of fun.
