I'm Anna, I would say I'm very determined and outgoing. I piano, guitar, basketball, and volleyball. My biggest goal in life is to be a certified personal trainer. I'm very interested in how different food can do different things and make you feel certain ways. I also want to learn how food can affect you while you're working out, what builds muscle and what burns fat. To reach that goal, I am taking culinary where we learn a bit of nutrition. I also try to get good grades because that might get me pretty far. In art and film, I am looking forward to learning how to edit and how movies are made. plus, it looked like a fun class to take. I'm hoping to gain a bit of knowledge in the movie industry, just to be able to understand it more.

1) "Film are made up of takes, sequences of camera capture."
2) Artists use color as one of their main concepts. There is different types of shades and tones involved. Tint is any color with white added to it, shade is and color with black added to it and tone is with both black and white added to it. Without color, films would be boring and they wouldn't look as "alive".
3) Editing was pretty good with my group, I just think next time before filming, I would plan out all the scenes just to make filming easier and smoother. Editing was confusing at first but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier and faster.
4) My point of view on the art of film-making has changed a lot. Before, I thought it was a breeze, that it was going to be easy. But actually having to come up with a story and filming it, then having to edit it is actually kinda challenging. So now, I appreciate movies that much more.

1) My favorite shot that we shot and edited would probably be the full shot because it gives a full-body view and it shows the surroundings.
2) My least favorite shot is probably the oblique shot. Its very confusing and I don't really know how to use the shot to where it would make sense for the scene.
3) I learned that the low-angle shot makes the characters seem very powerful and sufficient.
4) Shot type and editing play a big role in the reality of film because cinematographers have to put a lot of thought into all the scenes and have to decide what looks good with the script and what doesn't. Editing is also a big part because its how the film goes together.

3) How has your film-making, in regard to the process (writing/planning/filming/editing), grown since the beginning of the term?
1) Montage is used to show the audience a preview before any of the main shots are shown. Continuity editing is showing all the main scenes in order with a narration.
2) We used a montage where we shot an establishing shot and then we came closer and shot shots that were leading up to the continuity editing.
3) It's changed a lot because it used to be a longer and harder process but now it became easier with time and practice.

1) One of the mistakes that I've made this term is focusing too much on failure. I'll get an assignment and I'll picture the way that I want it to look and then realizing that maybe I can't meet all of those expectations and I kind of give up in my head. Next term, I'll try to not give up right away and try to write and plan everything out before starting the actual project so I'm not as stressed about it and I don' feel like giving up and then I'll be able to enjoy film-making more. Another psychological barrier that I've encountered this term is caring too much about what's popular. Sometimes I'll have an idea and then I think that it's not what everyone is doing and I kinda do what everyone does. So, next term I will do what i want to do not what's popular.
2) One of my proud moments so far was that I got my projects done faster since I understand Adobe After Effects better. So, the process of editing gets done quicker and smoother which means I'm finished faster.

3) To what extent has using the studio changed the way you think about your filmmaking?
1) One thing that works well with me is picturing how everything will look in my head and then documenting that on paper and then making it real by filming and then later editing.
2) Something new that I've gained from pre-production is being able to write an idea down as soon as you get it so you don't forget and eveything is just way more organized which makes the whole process go by faster.
3) It has changed the way I look at film-making by knowing everything that goes into it. For example, all the different lighting and knowing the right angles, and backgrounds. A lot more goes into it than I thought.

3) What genres are you blending in your "Genre Crossover" project and how are you bringing specific elements of the genre to the screen in your short film"?
1)Comedies are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement and most often work by exaggerating characteristics for humorous effect.
2) I think this genre made a big impact on media today because everyone loves comedies. Everyone loves to laugh every now and then and comedies are perfect for that.
3) We are doing 3 different genres, comedy, fantasy adventure, and film noir.

Best director: she knows all the manipulations with camera, she can make a really good frame and its gonna be a really good shot.
