My name is Diana Murillo, i'm a AVID student and I'm also a freshmen. My aspirations for the future is to hopefully go to college and become a veterinarian. I'm interested in film because I like art. Sometime I would paint or draw and film is another type of art I would like to try. I am hoping to gain lots of cool new art skills form Film 1.

How do film-makers develop and convey stories within the mise-en-scène?
1) Give a fact from early film-making that inspired our work these last few weeks.
A trip to the moon because it was also a one shot story.
2) Define and describe at least one concept regarding the Elements of Art that artists use while creating their films.
artist use space in films
3) Also, consider the art works you filmed and edited; discuss your experience filming with a group and editing using new software.
My experience was fun its fun and the funny films. Also my partners are nice and funny.
4) How, if at all, has your point-of-view shifted in regard to the art of film-making?
before i thought film was gonna be like we make it and edit it in an app we download which make it easier and i thought film would be as easy but its kinda hard to get the film how you want it.

Why is cinema both the most realistic and also the most artificial of the arts?
Cinema is the most realistic art because people and animals are in the film which make it more realistic because its not just a painting on a canvas.Cinema is the most artificial art because its also inspiring.
1) Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why?
My favorite part about my commercial is when the astronaut falls because she don't have oxygen and then Marryam come and saves her life and then advertises the oxygen bottle.
2) Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why?
My least favorite camera shot handheld because sometimes it can be hard to use in a film because the director can shake their hand and mess up the scene.
3) What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography?
Learning theses shots in film made me think that the movies in a theater are hard to make.
4) How do you feel shot type and editing play into the "reality" of film?
I feel like the shot type can be shakes a little but that can be fixed i like editing its fun but hard at times. I like recording because its fun but i don't like talking in the film.

How do filmmakers utilize the theory of montage as a part of cinematic language? And, how does this compare to continuity editing's voice in the cinematic language?
1) Describe montage in relation to how the shots are combined and compare/contrast that with continuity editing.
the shot in a montage are combined when you edit. They are compared/contrast because the footage is a story or picture that lead to a story.
In a montage the shots are combined
2) Use example sequences from your "TV Show Pilot" to bring these two dialects of cinematic language to life.
my TV show pilot uses sequences when josh was bribing Jess with candy and she said if he had recess candy and josh said no so she said no.
3) How has your film making, in regard to the process (writing/planning/filming/editing), grown since the beginning of the term?
my film making has grown because i now know the many types of shots of film.

On your blog share the ups and downs of your film making so far and how you plan to continue to grow in the second half of the class.1) Do this by writing about your (2) two biggest psychological barriers when it comes to making films, referencing ideas from the article "5 Psychological Mistakes that Beginning Filmmakers Make, & How to Avoid Them".
-My 2 barriers when it comes to work is probably thew people around me and if i'm tired i wont feel like listening.
2) For each, provide an example of a barrier you encountered this term as well as a solution you plan to initiate in the second term to overcome this barrier.
Worrying about failure is because if i fail then i wont get a good grade and that can lead to a lot of things, also too much typing sucks because when i'm at school sometime we have to type a long essay which takes for ever and not going to lie teens and kids are on their cell phone when they get home which probably hurts there eyes which cellphones causes then to not play outside
3)Then, finish off the entry by recalling the biggest success or ah-ha moment you've had this term. Provide details about what made it a great moment for you and how you felt you grew from the experience.
-I'm proud of my good grade well they are decent or maybe that i still have my friends.

Consider your likeness to Orson Welles as he broke the rules and invented new ones to rise to fame as one of the Golden Age of Hollywood's most impressive directors. 1) What's one of the things you've discovered over the course of making a number of short films that works well for you as you pre-produce, film, and edit?
Iv'e learned that when youtubers edit a video its takes time because iv'e been editing since i walked in this class. And i learned that there we many different types of shots in films and movies.
2) What's something new you've gained from pre-production and filming this project that has helped you to expand your creativity in film making?
I've learned new things from acting, editing and filming iys made my group members videos better.
3) To what extent has using the studio changed the way you think about your film making?
I think it makes it more professional in my opinion.

What spurned the growth of various genres in mid-20th Century and how do they influence filmmakers today?
1) Describe why on of the classic genres we studies was created.
One classic genres we studied is film noir. Film noir is a dark and sad genre. These moods reflect on the characters, usually involve betrayal and death
2) How do you see this classic genre influencing film/TV/media today?
I see this classic genre in influencing film and media when i see film noir in big hit movies .Like Sky Fall,Divergent and vampire diaries.
3) What genres are you blending in your "Genre Crossover" project and how are you bringing specific elements of the genre to the screen in your short film"?
My groups film is about the girl that got dared to go into this haunted house so she walks in and this ghost chases her. She runs out and tells her friends. They wanna see the walk in a the ghost makes a deal with the friends. So the friend betrays the other friends.
