Hello! my name is Gabriel. I am a creative who likes to draw, record short "films" and edit them. I also like to read. I hope to move into the film industry when I am older. My preference would most likely be director. Although i am happy working alone, i would like to work with a big crew! I hope to gain knowledge on how to edit. I would also like to learn different ways to express myself or my feeling on film!

How do film-makers develop and convey stories within the mise-en-scène? 1) They make sure to carefully place what they want in the frame. Give a fact from early film-making that inspired our work these last few weeks. 2) The one shot story was inspired by the lumiere film. Define and describe at least one concept regarding the Elements of Art that artists use while creating their films. 3) I see color a lot, from playful and vibrant colors to black and white. Also, consider the art works you filmed and edited; discuss your experience filming with a group and editing using new software. 4) I liked working in a group but it was very new for me because i usually do that all on my own. How, if at all, has your point-of-view shifted in regard to the art of film-making? I now know its not very easy to use aftereffects.

Why is cinema both the most realistic and also the most artificial of the arts? 1) Cinema is the most lifelike way of telling a story in our time it is the most artificial because it is just lots of pictures played to us quickly.Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? I like the low angle shot and high angle shot. I feel like those are the best for suggesting emotion. 2) Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? I don't like the zoom in shot. if you don't have a great camera the zoom looks really bad.3) What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography? I learned new ways to express myself or to get the emotions i want the viewer to experience.4) How do you feel shot type and editing play into the "reality" of film? If you are using VFX in you movie (like in transformers) you want to use real shots. If you create an entire shot in VFX, but want it to look real, put the camera in a realistic spot. Not up in the air as an impossible shot.

How do filmmakers utilize the theory of montage as a part of cinematic language? And, how does this compare to continuity editing's voice in the cinematic language? When using a montage you can set a mood with quick shots that can be edited in different ways. When using continuity, It looks normal but with montage you can add something else to your scene.
1) Describe montage in relation to how the shots are combined and compare/contrast that with continuity editing. When using continuity, It looks normal but with montage you can add something else to your scene.
2) Use example sequences from your "TV Show Pilot" to bring these two dialects of cinematic language to life. In my series, we have a montage of Oliver and Lucy in love.
3) How has your film-making, in regard to the process (writing/planning/filming/editing), grown since the beginning of the term? Well, i liked writing the screenplay it gave us a great sense of direction when recording.

Consider your likeness to Orson Welles as he broke the rules and invented new ones to rise to fame as one of the Golden Age of Hollywood's most impressive directors. 1) What's one of the things you've discovered over the course of making a number of short films that works well for you as you pre-produce, film, and edit? Its a lot less work than i tought at least our no budget films are. 2) What's something new you've gained from pre-production and filming this project that has helped you to expand your creativity in filmmaking? Now i am better at writng scripts, which i sucked at.3) To what extent has using the studio changed the way you think about your filmmaking? Well i dont really like studio film making. I like a more natural look to a film.

What spurned the growth of various genres in mid-20th Century and how do they influence filmmakers today? 1) Describe why one of the classic genres we studied was created. Film Noir was invented because at the time movie sets were used only for big movies making them film on set and at night giving their films a very unique look. 2) How do you see this classic genre influencing film/TV/media today? I see lots of parodies but also a great amount of Dark work. 3) What genres are you blending in your "Genre Crossover" project and how are you bringing specific elements of the genre to the screen in your short film"? We will be doing Horror, Film Noir, and Silent.
