My name is Iosif. I am a freshman this year. At home I am a normal kid I play video games, watch some TV shows, films and etc.. I have a little brother who is a lot younger than me. At school I am a 4.0 student, well at least I was in middle and elementary school so I cannot say high school yet well just because I've only been in high school for three days if you count today. In the future I have a goal to be a dentist because well it's nice to help people have good teeth, but the main reason why I want to become one is mostly because it is a well payed job. Right now as a freshman I take Biomedical Science, it is a class where you get introduced to the very basics of the medical field, so far I enjoy the class. I was never a computer person I was always a phone person so I took the video production class because I want to learn how to create films, and overall learn how to edit stuff because I will need it for the future. I hope that I will learn how to edit stuff this year hopefully I will get an A in the class.

How do film-makers develop and convey stories within the mise-en-scène?
1) Give a fact from early film-making that inspired our work these last few weeks. The one shot story. When the camera is not moving at all and all the footage was captured in one shot.
2) Define and describe at least one concept regarding the Elements of Art that artists use while creating their films. A line is one out of the seven elements of art it's just a line that authors design however they want. In film film artists use lines to create special effects like different lines can show different things.
3) Also, consider the art works you filmed and edited; discuss your experience filming with a group and editing using new software. It's been hard because I've never edited anything ever so it's been kind of hard, nut also fun.
4) How, if at all, has your point-of-view shifted in regard to the art of film-making? In the beginning I thought that I would never be able to edit anything in my life, but now I think I can learn.

Why is cinema both the most realistic and also the most artificial of the arts? The cinema is both the most realistic and not because it shows the true stories of real people, and also it's the most artificial because it shows fantasy. 1) Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? My favorite one was a zoom in and zoom out because it is simple, 2) Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? My least favorite one is Dutch angle because it is very hard to film. 3) What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography? It taught me that all the movies and films that are being created are very thoughtful and artistic because all these angles are very interesting to use. 4) How do you feel shot type and editing play into the "reality" of film? I feel good about it

1) Describe montage in relation to how the shots are combined and compare/contrast that with continuity editing. In the montage you basically gather up the highlights of what your topic is about and maybe add some music to make people interested. In the continuity editing is different and same at the same time for example they are the same because they both are different shots, but yet they make sense because it feels like the shots were taking in order. The difference is that in the continuity it's just the matter if everything is in order and it makes sense, montage on the other hand makes sense as well, but you gather the most interesting footage.
2) Use example sequences from your "TV Show Pilot" to bring these two dialects of cinematic language to life. In may video I used montage in the beginning, it's a highlights of people dribbling the ball, and playing defense. In the continuity editing I just made sure that everything is in order.
3) How has your film-making, in regard to the process (writing/planning/filming/editing), grown since the beginning of the term? Now I feel a bit more confident with my editing, and also now I understand some rules, well basic rules now I can at least be creative with my editing.

1) Do this by writing about your (2) two biggest psychological barriers when it comes to making films, referencing ideas from the article "5 Psychological Mistakes that Beginning Filmmakers Make, & How to Avoid Them" My two biggest psychological fears when I am making a film is that I am afraid to mess up, and also I don't like some of the footage that I got that might be two biggest fears for me To avoid these fears I have to be confident in myself like not being scared to make a mistake, and also think carefully what kind of footage I should get next time . 2) For each, provide an example of a barrier you encountered this term as well as a solution you plan to initiate in the second term to overcome this barrier. Overcome fears that I would mess up like I said earlier. If I will overcome a fear of messing up I can probably be really good at editing one day. 3)Then, finish off the entry by recalling the biggest success or ah-ha moment you've had this term. Provide details about what made it a great moment for you and how you felt you grew from the experience. My biggest success was that I got the basics of editing so I can for sure be good at something when it comes to that.

1) What's one of the things you've discovered over the course of making a number of short films that works well for you as you pre-produce, film, and edit? I have discovered that you can make the film so much better with invisible things like light and sound. 2) What's something new you've gained from pre-production and filming this project that has helped you to expand your creativity in filmmaking? I have learned that during this project I was learned that we have to plan things ahead and just make sure that you won't foeget a shot because it could be significant 3) To what extent has using the studio changed the way you think about your filmmaking? It changed the way I think about films is when I watch one I already know what shots, and afffects some films used.

1) Describe why on of the classic genres we studies was created. The classic genres that we studied was created because it teaches people the basics of film ,making so that way not all the films are the same so people would not get bored with the films.2) How do you see this classic genre influencing film/TV/media today? It influences the Tv, and media because most of them are focused on a classic genres so without them we probably would be watching some black and white films that don't have a meaning. 3) What genres are you blending in your "Genre Crossover" project and how are you bringing specific elements of the genre to the screen in your short film"? We are using comedy for one of our red riding hood film endings we just were funny, and filmed it while wearing a red hood, for action it was a fighting scene between a wolf, and a red riding hood, and we also did film noir where the grandma was in control of the situation like she was getting a basket from the red riding hood.
