Hi my name is laura , i am at school. My aspiration is to be a nurse and have a good family, to be wealthy. Right now I am working on it by working really hard at school, to be able to get a degree when I go to college. I've never had a classes like this but I like the idea of making videos and editing, like there's so many youtubers and they make good content. I am hoping to be able to learn how to edit and make good videos. I think this will be really fun :)

How do film-makers develop and convey stories within the mise-en-scène?
1) Give a fact from early film-making that inspired our work these last few weeks. A fact that inspired us is that the old film making was hard and they didnt have much things to use but they used their creativity, and now that we have more things to use and more technology we can do better and that is how it inspires us.
2) Define and describe at least one concept regarding the Elements of Art that artists use while creating their films. They use. Some elements of art that artist use while making their films is form, shape, and color because when you put them all together it creates art.
3) Also, consider the art works you filmed and edited; discuss your experience filming with a group and editing using new software. It was very confusing at first but i think once you get used to editing and cutting and adding the stuff that is necessary it is fun. Filming was probably the best part though because it was very fun thinking creative ideas and putting all of them together.
4) How, if at all, has your point-of-view shifted in regard to the art of film-making? It has changed my point of view because i used to think that is was easy and that it didn't take much creativity . Now i think that its hard but its fun and it takes so much creativity which it makes it fun to be able to make our ideas into real life.

Why is cinema both the most realistic and also the most artificial of the arts? 1) Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why?
My favorite shot was the low angle shot. It was my favorite one because it looked like the person that it was pointed to it made them look so much bigger and stronger.
2) Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why?
My least favorite shot was extreme close up. It was my least favorite because it was all closed and it looked icky like it wasnt cute.
3) What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography?
This taught me that there is a lot of thought that goes into recording those angles because you have to be thinking like how would the audience feel like how they see it.
4) How do you feel shot type and editing play into the "reality" of film?
I dont even know what this question means but i guess it looks pretty dope like how everything just comes together.

How do filmmakers utilize the theory of montage as a part of cinematic language? And, how does this compare to continuity editing's voice in the cinematic language?
1) Describe montage in relation to how the shots are combined and compare/contrast that with continuity editing.
Montage is just a bunch of clips and edits to show a lot of things happening in a short amount of time.
2) Use example sequences from your "TV Show Pilot" to bring these two dialects of cinematic language to life.
One example is when lucy was helping liam out like being nice i guess. Another example is when in the dream liam was very intiminte.
3) How has your film-making, in regard to the process (writing/planning/filming/editing), grown since the beginning of the term?
It was very easy i helped gabe a little but i was the director so i made the angles work.

On your blog share the ups and downs of your film making so far and how you plan to continue to grow in the second half of the class.1) Do this by writing about your two biggest psychological barriers when it comes to making films, referencing ideas from the article "5 Psychological Mistakes that Beginning Filmmakers Make, & How to Avoid Them".
One mistake that I have made is not enough narrative content, so it is sloppy because the story telling is off. Another mistake i've made is worrying about failure because one I worry i begin to stress out so much so i get super sloppy and my head is all over the place. 2) For each, provide an example of a barrier you encountered this term as well as a solution you plan to initiate in the second term to overcome this barrier.
I solved my problem with that by telling the story more in detail and seeing if others would be able to understand my story. The other way I solved my issue was that I just stopped worrying so much about if anyone will like it and started thinking to see if I would like it.
3)Then, finish off the entry by recalling the biggest success or ah-ha moment you've had this term. Provide details about what made it a great moment for you and how you felt you grew from the experience.
One ah ha moment i had was that one time i thought i was recording and we "filmed" a lot but i was even recording. I learned from that experience to make sure im recording because i looked very dumb.

Consider your likeness to Orson Welles as he broke the rules and invented new ones to rise to fame as one of the Golden Age of Hollywood's most impressive directors. 1) What's one of the things you've discovered over the course of making a number of short films that works well for you as you pre-produce, film, and edit?
I discovered that everytime i edit i write the shots i would use. 2) What's something new you've gained from pre-production and filming this project that has helped you to expand your creativity in filmmaking?
Ive gained communication skills because i had to talk a lot to my partners in order for us to work together and make evrerything be easier because communication is key
3) To what extent has using the studio changed the way you think about your filmmaking?
It has made me think that it is funner because the lights look very pretty and every light changes something.
