I am Natalie and I am very talkative at home and at school i can be but only if i know the people who i am with if i don't ill be very shy. My aspirations for the future are to make a lot of money , have a good job , and to give back to everyone who helped thru life . I am working on those things now by studying hard in school so i can go to a good collage and than get a good job. My interest in art and film are learning to how people film and how they are made. I am hoping to gain a lot of knowlage about editing and filming in term Film 1.

1) Give a fact from early film-making that inspired our work these last few weeks.
Photographers in the late 19c flashed progressive images in succession.

2) Define and describe at least one concept regarding the Elements of Art that artists use while creating their films. one concept regarding the elements of art is color they used this in old films and sometimes they would use water color.

3) Also, consider the art works you filmed and edited; discuss your experience filming with a group and editing using new software.
My experience was good because it was so exciting to see what actors do and i also felt like one when i was filming with my group. At first the editing was a bit hard but than i got the hang of it .

4) How, if at all, has your point-of-view shifted in regard to the art of film-making? My point-of-view has shifted in regard to film making by thinking of it in a more impressive way because i didn't not how hard it was two edit , get the right angle , and
many more difficulties that came along with filing until i did it .

1) Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why?
My favorite shot is wide shot because it catches the whole setting and the character so think its more appealing.

2) Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why?
My least favorite is tilt because u cant really focus on the object that is being shot .

3) What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography? All these shots have taught me that there is a lot of different shots and they all have big meaning it can go from exciting to boring or from scary to normal with just using different shots so it takes time to make a good film.

4) How do you feel shot type and editing play into the "reality" of film? I feel like shot type plays into film because without different types of shot films wouldn't be as dramatic or as funny , it adds a lot to film.

1) Describe montage in relation to how the shots are combined and compare/contrast that with continuity editing.
Montage has a lot of relation with continuity editing because they both effect the audience and both confine space and time , and at last they both create a unique language of film . They are different because continuity editing is not a concerning with the tone of the film like a montage is .

2) Use example sequences from your "TV Show Pilot" to bring these two dialects of cinematic language to life.
I can film the outside of the cafeteria as my montage shot and than when I am filming make a continuity edit so the whole outside of the cafeteria shows.

3) How has your film-making, in regard to the process (writing/planning/filming/editing), grown since the beginning of the term?
This time film making was a bit harder because we had to memorize are lines before we didn't have lines so it would come off the top of our heads. But Editing was easier because we have been making a lot films lately . The planning was easy because i love to write a lot and the ideas came fast to my head.

1) Do this by writing about your two biggest psychological barriers when it comes to making films, referencing ideas from the article "5 Psychological Mistakes that Beginning Filmmakers Make, & How to Avoid Them".

My two biggest psychological barrier when it comes to film is the acting because i tempt to laugh a lot when we film i am also sometimes very shy so my voice gets really low. So i worry about failure and i can get over that is just to enjoy it and not have so much fear.

2) For each, provide an example of a barrier you encountered this term as well as a solution you plan to initiate in the second term to overcome this barrier.
A barrier that i had was to get getting embarrassed when i would film and the solution was that i had to have fun with it and not be so worried.

3) Then, finish off the entry by recalling the biggest success or ah-ha moment you've had this term. Provide details about what made it a great moment for you and how you felt you grew from the experience.
My biggest success was leaning how to use the film editing program well. It made it great for me because i din't have to keep asking the teacher or anyone for help . I felt very good.

1) What's one of the things you've discovered over the course of making a number of short films that works well for you as you pre-produce, film, and edit?
One of the things i discovered over the course of making a number of short films is that it they get easier and faster to make as i make new ones.

2) What's something new you've gained from pre-production and filming this project that has helped you to expand your creativity in film making?
Something new i gained from pre-production and film is how to make effects like slow motion , fast motion , and making the sound louder.

3) To what extent has using the studio changed the way you think about your film making?
The extent of using the studio changed the way i think about film because it makes me think of it as more serious because the people who have it as careers most use studios.

1) Describe why on of the classic genres we studies was created.

The genre of film Noir was created i was designed to cheer people up during the great depression and it was interesting to watch so the audience loved watching films that had this genre.

2) How do you see this classic genre influencing film/TV/media today?

I see this genre influencing t.,v shows and movies that are more for adults and have a seductive or romance theme to them

3) What genres are you blending in your "Genre Crossover" project and how are you bringing specific elements of the genre to the screen in your short film"? Horror was created to scare people and make for good suspenseful movies because people enjoy that. its fun to watch and as the years go by the makeup becomes more and more realistic and films become more scary. film noir hitchcock and action

The genre that in my generas crossover is horror, film noir ,and drama , and i am bringing it by adding a murder , and than another film of a girl sub-ducting a guy and liking him for his money , and two girls fighting over a guy.
