My name is Sailaab. I love watching movies, videos, etc. I just joined this class because I thought it would be a good idea to learn how to edit videos better and in more of a manner of making movies. I also wanted to learn how to write better scripts. I love video games and I want to become a computer engineer and go to a 4 year college. I want this class to also show me how to better work in groups. My favorite media platform is youtube because here is an endless amount of content.

How do film-makers develop and convey stories within the mise-en-scène? 1) Give a fact from early film-making that inspired our work these last few weeks. 2) Define and describe at least one concept regarding the Elements of Art that artists use while creating their films. 3) Also, consider the art works you filmed and edited; discuss your experience filming with a group and editing using new software. 4) How, if at all, has your point-of-view shifted in regard to the art of film-making?

Film makers develop and convey stories by making different camera angles show the viewer different things that are essential to the story and use different techniques like foreshadowing by maybe zooming into a gun on the ground right before a character is shot. One fact from early film making that inspired our work is the one shot story and how we weren't able to move the camera for the entire recording just like they did when they first started filming. One concept from the Element of Art that film makers use is texture because film makers make different things or places in their films have textures that even though the viewer cannot feel they can understand what it might feel like. Using the film software was a little confusing at first but I got used to it quickly because I have had experience with lots of different video editing software. Before joining this class I never really thought of film making as an option for a career but since joining this class my perception of this has changed and I have now considered film making as a serious career decision.

Pen your blog's introduction -- Describe yourself and your connection to this class. Who are you?...now and in the future? What are you seeking from this class as it moves you toward your goals? Don't forget to mention your favorite media: movie, show, youtuber...

Why is cinema both the most realistic and also the most artificial of the arts? 1) Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? 2) Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? 3) What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography? 4) How do you feel shot type and editing play into the "reality" of film?

cinema is both the most realistic and the most artificial of the arts because although the people you see acting are real people that exist not CGI or puppets, etc what they are doing "acting" is not "real" they are pretending to feel emotions or live out the scenes of the movie.

my favorite shot from the commercial is the close up because it can be used Widely to display emotion better or show something important for the audience.

learning all these shots has taught me why films use these types of shots and what they do to help the movies plot continue or become more easily understandable.

shots and editing help the movie feel more real because you can make what the audience see what the character see so that it seems more realistic or have a more realistic setting shown.

How do filmmakers utilize the theory of montage as a part of cinematic language? And, how does this compare to continuity editing's voice in the cinematic language?
1) Describe montage in relation to how the shots are combined and compare/contrast that with continuity editing.
2) Use example sequences from your "TV Show Pilot" to bring these two dialects of cinematic language to life.
3) How has your film-making, in regard to the process (writing/planning/filming/editing), grown since the beginning of the term?

Montage is a series of cuts and photos or clips that try to evoke an idea in the viewer they are also sometimes shot so that the continuity of the film is kept and that the viewer is not confused.

An example of tis from my tv show pilot is when there is a training montage

my film making has grown because i am able to use the camera better and i know how to use shots to help the viewer know whats going on

On your blog share the ups and downs of your film making so far and how you plan to continue to grow in the second half of the class.1) Do this by writing about your two biggest psychological barriers when it comes to making films, referencing ideas from the article "5 Psychological Mistakes that Beginning Filmmakers Make, & How to Avoid Them". 2) For each, provide an example of a barrier you encountered this term as well as a solution you plan to initiate in the second term to overcome this barrier. 3)Then, finish off the entry by recalling the biggest success or ah-ha moment you've had this term. Provide details about what made it a great moment for you and how you felt you grew from the experience.

the two biggest psychological barriers in film are time and what people will think about what you've made. a barrier I experienced with time was when we were recording the multi shot story and we didn't have enough time to shoot the ending of the video so we had to improvise. Another barrier I have experienced with what people would think of my video was when I had an idea for a video but I did not want to make it because of what other people would think. The biggest success moment I've had this term was when i figured out what to make for my mid term project.

Consider your likeness to Orson Welles as he broke the rules and invented new ones to rise to fame as one of the Golden Age of Hollywood's most impressive directors. 1) What's one of the things you've discovered over the course of making a number of short films that works well for you as you pre-produce, film, and edit? 2) What's something new you've gained from pre-production and filming this project that has helped you to expand your creativity in filmmaking? 3) To what extent has using the studio changed the way you think about your filmmaking?

I discovered that making a plan on dialogue and what is going to happen to the story makes it much easier to film and be able to finish in the time allotted, it also makes editing much easier. Using the studio changed the way I though about film making because now we are able to use lighting to convey different moods.

What spurned the growth of various genres in mid-20th Century and how do they influence filmmakers today? 1) Describe why on of the classic genres we studies was created. 2) How do you see this classic genre influencing film/TV/media today? 3) What genres are you blending in your "Genre Crossover" project and how are you bringing specific elements of the genre to the screen in your short film"?👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌

classic genre affects modern film because modern film often goes back to classic genre. We used horror film Noir and comedy we are going to make these genres by using music lighting and camera angles and clothing.

Sailaab is best awarded for being the best director. His ideas are unique and I think most wouldn't come up with weird movie scripts or ideas like him.
