Film is a part of everyday life, it can show us the past, present, and/or future. Film isn't just someone taking a video with a camera, it is art, and through this art, stories can be told and life can be portrayed. Movies have brought new stories to our world and have recreated old ones. I love movies, especially Action and Fantasy movies, such as The Hobbit, Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Batman vs Superman. What I am looking for in this class is the ability to film movies and bring old stories back to life.

After these few weeks of film, I feel like I could watch a movie and see how they did it all. Its only been a few weeks and it seems like every movie has come to life and I can see the technicalities. More people should take a film class because it changes the way you see movies.

My favorite camera angle is the low angle shot because it is able to capture the entire person and makes the person seem a lot bigger. My least favorite shot is the 3/4 shot because there is really no point to it. It just cuts off the legs.

Question:Describe your perception and understanding of how film is a unique artistic language. Give a specific example from one of the films you have created in this class thus far.
Answer: Film is unique, the closest thing to it are plays and they don't have the ability to cut scenes and the way they set it up is a masterpiece itself. From my movies we used the green screen and special effects which created atmosphere.

Film is a class everyone should take in order to understand the movies and shows we watch every day. As any other class, there will be ups and downs. The ups for this class are having a new perspective on the movies we watch and how to shoot movies if you want that as a career. The downs to this class are that sometimes your computer will shut off or some assignments you wonder how they have to do with film

I'm glad that you're able to see beyond the frustrations of computer issues to see the larger take-away from the course. I'm interested to hear too that you think all students should take the course. It really is the mode of communication we all face each day in our visual world. I'm glad you're getting a grander perspective on it all.
