My name is Alex Brewer I am a sophomore at River City High School. I plan on going to Sac State because they have a Criminal Justice class and because its close to home. What i'm seeking to gain from this class is to know how to take better videos. My goal in life is to become a West Sacramento Police Officer.

Filmmakers develop and convey stories within the mise-en-scene by choosing what is shown and what isn't. When making our first film the One Shot Story we set up the scene and just rolled with it. When it comes to the Multi Shot Story we set up each scene with precision even by taking multiple takes until we got one scene right. My view on film has changed greatly because I now know why some movies take so long to make.

My favorite shot in the commercial was when I gave the glasses to Brandon and the camera was under us. My least favorite shot was the tracking shot it was an unnecessary shot that didn't need to be there but I left it in because I figured that everyone else needed some screen time. Learning all these shots have taught me about cinematography is that it is a lot harder than what I thought it would be.

While I was creating a screenplay for a T.V. show pilot I didn't know what I was gonna do but then I had a flow of just inspiration. The log-line for the original screenplay was: Uncle Joe suspects that Ben broke his aunt's favorite vase but did he? Also while designing the costume design for Uncle Joe I really wanted to make sure that people knew that he was a Vietnam Veteran. The ads will also reflect the vase and the Vietnam veteran parts of the story. While filming the T.V. show pilot we went off of the script a bit there was supposed to be yo-yo's and other things but we used the plates and the toy knife as weapons as well as the fidget spinner. I feel the shot that brought the story most alive is when i walk through the door and say "Home I'm Home"

One thing that Simon Cade from DSLR Guide said that made me think of myself is #4 on his list of the top five Psychological Mistakes That Beginning Filmmakers Make and How To Avoid Them. #4 was worrying about failure, I don't take my failures lightly and it is one of my biggest fears.

My Shooting experience in the studio was pretty good the fire alarm went off about part way through so we have a shot and at the end we got the first beep of the fire alarm. Personally I thought we needed more items for our montage. I wanted at least a somewhat humorous aspect to the video so I added a small part that was supposed to be funny.

The genre for the movie that I will be pitching will probably be sci-fi. The most interesting thing about this genre is how creative it can be. I am drawn to this genre because I love star wars. I hope that others will get out of my work is wonder.

Our most recent shoot for our music video was earlier this week and it was a shot of the three protagonists running away from the prison in which they were held in. We chose the song "Jello" by BrockHampton the type of concept we used for the video was a low concept. The final product has the protagonists getting chased by a cop then they go to jail and then escape which would mean that it is a low concept video. I'm most proud of all the scenes with my deer mask in them.
