I am Drew Kramer and I would describe myself as someone that enjoys creativity and fun, especially in film. I played baseball for the school freshman year and plan to try out for the JV team. In the future I hope to be a successful person in whatever I plan on doing. What I seek from this class is to open a possible career option and help me learn some film skills. A goal I have for this class is to make me a better editor overall.

My favorite shot from our commercial is the extreme close-up because it looks a little bit weird and funny. My least favorite shot is the oblique shot because it was so hard to incorporate into our shots and it felt so out of place. What this has taught me about cinematography is that shots can really help you convey meaning in movies, commercials, etc..

The logline was "not your average family". I designed the ad campaign in a goofy way because I thought the sitcom had that tone. I designed the costumes the way I did was because I wanted the sitcom to be stereotypical just like the title states. The TV pilot was interesting to work on because I have never dealt with a script. It was kind of hard not to laugh while reciting your lines. The shots that brought the show to life were the table shots and the close ups.

Some of my biggest psychological barriers for filmmaking are not putting enough narrative into the story. Another issue I have is feeling like I'm not talented enough to make the end result that I envisioned. But I feel like I can overcome these with time because I am new to this and skill just comes with experience and experience comes with time.

My experience in the film studio was fun. The studio time forced us to rush a little but our final product seemed a little more professional than shooting outside with no proper lighting. I approached the montage portion of our film with a lot of transition and overlay effects to show a time change. I chose to cut together a story of a magician training to become better, with an ode to the famous Rocky training montage.

I think I will focus my creativity on comedy. I like the genre because I like to laugh, even though most comedy films are terrible nowadays. I would hope others would get enjoyment out of my work.

Describe your most recent shoot recording a music video. Which song did you choose and what type of concept or mixture of concepts did you capture. Describe what you the final product looks like and how you'd define it in regard to "documentary," "low concept," &/or "high concept." What are you most proud of with this project?
In our most recent music video we decided to have some fun with it. We chose the song JELLO by BROCKHAMPTON and we went low concept with the video because of the fun nature of the song. Our final product are colorful and interesting criminals escaping a prison and robbing a bank while running from the police. Im proud of how nice it turned out to be.
