I'am a quite student as every other in the class I try to work hard and when called upon I try my best to sound smart. My relation to this class is to get familiar with technology for community service/volunteering just in case the people I help need the help I have. I'm a student that wants to get through school and start his life of fun and hard work. In the future I would like to be a doctor to make money, and from that money I can afford to spend time having fun with friends and family. My goal in this class is to get used to writing a lot and being very descriptive, since doctor's when writing a report have to be very descriptive and precise to what is wrong with their patient.

Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography?

My favorites that I capture in the commercial are the behind the shoulder shot,my favorite edit was the close-up shot. I picked these, because the behind the shoulder shot was hard to film. Also the close-up because it was funny when i was editing it.
My least favorite camera move is the zoom-in, because it is very difficult to control especially from a distance. These shots taught me that being a camera man is difficult even if it might seem the easiest job at first.

How do filmmakers develop and convey stories within the mise-en-scène? - - Describe the process of creating your one-shot and multi-shot films... How did you work as a group to develop what shots should be taken? How are you approaching the editing process? What have been some successes and hurdles in these first projects? How do you feel your views on film have changed now that you've had a taste of the work involved?

Filmmakers create the mise-en scene by using their hands as a shot that they think is good. The process of me creating the one-shot story and the multi-shot story is just to find a good shot
and record, but to find that good shot 3 people from the group decide which is best. I'am approaching the editing process from the side of order, I'm trying to put the shots in the way and order we took them in. The successes in this project were the effects and actors they played their characters well and the people behind the scenes. Also some hurdles that we had in shooting those films were the actors messing up on scrip and retaking the shot, but that is expected from a movie/film. I think the viewers would have changed upon watching this video by being more cautious while going to the bathroom.

Pen your blog's introduction -- Describe yourself and your relation to this class. Who are you?...now and in the future? What are you seeking from this class as it moves you toward your goals?

Reflect on the process of creating a TV Show Pilot: Provide the logline for your original screenplay and connect your costume designs and ad campaign to the story you created... why did you design what you designed based on the story? Tell, too, about the TV Show Pilot you filmed and edited with your group... what was it like to work with a script and what types of shot(s) do you feel brought the show to life most?

I designed what I designed based on the story, because my characters were going to Prom so it is usual that they wear formal clothes.I picked what I did, because the clothes would definitely fit in with the scenery the characters were in. To work with the script is difficult, because you have to memorize it temporarily, it is hard because you are not able to think on your own; you have to think like the character. The shots that brought the show to life are difficult to choose from, because my crew and I were creating an action film so there are many to talk about but I think the best shot that would be the best in this situation is the killing scene, because I thought it was unexpected.

How did Hollywood change with the addition of sound?

Hollywood changed with the addition of sound, by having more major movie companies, and with them more genres. Also having sound made it that much easier to show films in theater's, all they needed was a machine not a whole group of people behind stage.

What are some of your biggest psychological barriers when it comes to making films? Share your ups and downs of filmmaking on your blog, and how you plan to continue to grow in the second half of the class.

Some of the biggest psychological barriers to making films are that people only type and don't do much with their hands, or the film makers don't care much for their making they don't make it with happiness in them and that ends up showing how they feel through their project. Some film makers also don't make story writing a priority and just put it to the side and that's not good for film makers. Film makers are often scared of failure, but they don't know for sure, so they forget about that maybe and think their project will be a failure anyway so why do it but that is wrong. Also the only person responsible for the film makers success is the film maker, they puts themselves in those situations to either fail of succeed. The ups and downs of my film making in this class is I'm not creative, but I have some good moments where I am creative and that is how I do my work I wait for a great idea and so on. In my second trimester of the year I would like to be more creative and try to push my creativity to work every day and have more ideas everyday.

How do WWII era films change the way we use cinematic language?

The World War 2 era films changed the way we use cinematic language now by showing how many things could happen over time on film such as time fades. It also demonstrated that the use of talkies can be improved and still be used to record voices of the characters in the film not needing them written on the actually film and giving the film more movie and less reading. Another way the films in that era changed the language is by how the scenes are featured and in which order and how.

What distinguishes the style of post-war film genres?

The thing that distinguishes post-war style films is that they have buoyant comedies, triumph of law and order in drama, trivial musicals, and lavish and colorful. The Germans brought crime films and crazy films, they brought their own style which was interesting. Their style is still around today and it was very unique which is why people like it, it was something that was new and not usually watched.

What was the effect of television on cinema?
What does screen size do to directorial choices and the visual storytelling of film?

The effect of television on cinema was that the cinema needed a new aspect ratio, since television already had the present aspect ratio which made television the same or better then cinema. That is because you can see the same movie with the same ratio on television as in the cinema, which will get the cinema bankrupt. The screen size shows more of the film and tells more of the story which help the director put more visual aspects to the film and make it better. Screen size tells more of the story which gives the viewer a bigger picture to look at and take in, and through that the viewer will see more and notice more and actually admire the work put into the movie. This would cause popularity and more viewers to come and see the film therefore making more money towards the movie.

Describe your most recent shoot recording a music video. Which song did you choose and what type of concept or mixture of concepts did you capture. Describe what you the final product looks like and how you'd define it in regard to "documentary," "low concept," &/or "high concept." What are you most proud of with this project?

The song me and my group chose for this recent project(Music Video Ratio Rational). The song is called 1-800-273-8255 by Logic the concept I chose was "high concept", because the song was also a high concept video. The final project looks like a video of a boy being bullied, then he runs away but the bullies still catch up to him.I would also define it as a documentary, because this still happens in the world today and documentaries are video of real life so the video and music is all high concept. The most proud I am of this project is the the editing and how the video turned out at the end and how all the scenes come together and make the video a whole and the video is so simple its almost self explanatory.
