How do filmmakers develop and convey stories within the mise-en-scène? - - Describe the process of creating your one-shot and multi-shot films... How did you work as a group to develop what shots should be taken? How are you approaching the editing process? What have been some successes and hurdles in these first projects? How do you feel your views on film have changed now that you've had a taste of the work involved?

Film makers develop and convey stories in the mise-en-scène by taking everyday things and putting them together with some music to make a totally different thing. The process of making my one shot and multishot films were fairly easy. For the one shot we just mashed all our ideas into one thing that we all thought would be funny and id say it worked it even took one simple attempt. Making the multi shot was a little more complicated because we needed to add more to the original story of the one shot which we were able to do. We made the story go into a little more depth and i think it's a little more funny than before. How we worked together to make the shots we needed was planing and repeating ourselves to retake shots without getting too annoyed with each other. im approaching the editing process slow and confused because i still don't fully understand all these things in the adobe but im getting it all done so that's what really matters. Some successes in these first projects would be getting them done and recorded some hurdles would have to be editing them because like i said still don't fully understand the adobe. I feel my views on film haven't really changed because i already knew the whole process was a hard thing to do and it is a hard thing to do.

Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography?

My favorite shot is the two shot because i don't have to be alone in the shot when im on camera. My least favorite shot is the high angle because we have to start recording raise the camera do the shot bring it down stop it and then we have to edit all the extra stuff out. Learning about these shots/moves has taught me there's a bunch of different shots and they have names to go with them

Reflect on the process of creating a TV Show Pilot: Provide the logline for your original screenplay and connect your costume designs and ad campaign to the story you created... why did you design what you designed based on the story? Tell, too, about the TV Show Pilot you filmed and edited with your group... what was it like to work with a script and what types of shot(s) do you feel brought the show to life most?

I designed what i did based off the story because it was in a high school setting and im in high school so i just made it kinda from my life. The events that happened aren't real (for me atleast) but the character designs are, i just made them mimic people from my life and one even copies myself. We didn't actually use a script we just said what jade told us to say besides me i tended to reword everything she told me but it still felt so weird because i had to use an australian accent, that i couldn't stick to for the love of god it would keep changing. The shots that brought the most life to the show would have to be julianna's reaction and running shoots they were real funny and even better when the slowmo and fast motion was added to them.

What are some of your biggest psychological barriers when it comes to making films? Share your ups and downs of filmmaking on your blog, and how you plan to continue to grow in the second half of the class.

One of my psychological barriers when making a film is that i’ll mess it all up or that i sound stupid when saying what i needa say for the film. The ups of filmmaking is that when done i can edit it to almost however i want it to be edited the downs are the constant retant retakes we gotta do for some of our scenes.I don't really know how i plan on growing in the second half of this calls maybe to not have those dumb barriers

Describe your experience shooting this project in the film studio with the added lighting elements. How do you feel the studio time affected your final product quality? Additionally, how did you approach the montage portion of your film. Describe what you chose to cu together and what effect you hope for it to have on your audience.

I feel the studio time was nice but at the same time i feel it limited our background and location just a little. I approached the montage part by adding time cards and saying a certain amount of time for in between the time periods. I decided to have the project have a flashback in the middle to put reason as to why the person was being interrogated and to let people know what happened after his sweater was taken from him. I hope it has a good effect on the audience.

Soon, you'll be pitching an idea for a feature film in this class. What genre do you think you'll focus your creativity on? Why are you drawn to this genre? What do you find most interesting about this genre? What would you hope others would get from your work if you were to create films in this genre?

I think i'll go with sci-fi.im drawn to this genre because there can be anything. What i find most interesting about this genre is anything can happen in a sci-fi movie. Id hope people would get from a film i made from this genre is excitement.

Describe your most recent shoot recording a music video. Which song did you choose and what type of concept or mixture of concepts did you capture. Describe what you the final product looks like and how you'd define it in regard to "documentary," "low concept," &/or "high concept." What are you most proud of with this project?

Our most recent shoot was real funny and fast. The song we went with was Sail we went with a low concept film.I haven't gotten the final project yet but i think it’ll look good. I'm not really most proud of anything for this project maybe i will be when i finish but so far nothing
