My name is jack mills and in a sophomore in high school. I'm 15 and like to be active I am also a big fan of Dungeons and Dragons. I wanted to be able to edit to make videos and this class was the best choice for learning how to edit.

Filmmakers use a mixture of multiple shots lighting to develop the story with the movie. The development of the one shot story was just using ideas until we found something we liked. We work well as a group and can get filming done pretty fast. I edit the videos in a straight forward way because its easy to watch. I haven't really had any problems when it comes to editing so id same im successful for the most part. I view films differently now that i now how much work can be involved, on a small scale its not bad but with hundreds of hours of footage to work with I can see how it would be difficult.

Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography?

My favorite shot our group captured was the extreme close up because I find that extreme close ups can add comedic affect and I find it funny. My least favorite shot that we filmed for the commercial was the low shot. We had to be in the smaller of the two stalls and the camera didn't fit very well into the stall. Taking all these different shots, I have learned how difficult it must be to get some of the different shots for a high production value film. Being on location for movies with sets in real locations and not just movie set could prove challenging to get some more of the difficult shots

The designs for my add campaign were meant to feel like they where scavenged or something someone happened to have on hand, like someone who is shipwrecked/stranded is, like the main characters of my pilot are.

Working with a scrip and set shots gives less creative freedom than having a general idea of what we wanted to do. It did however make it much easier to collect the shots we really needed. I feel that the point of view is really what brought the pilot to life.

One of my biggest physiological barriers is how others will think of what I make, I want people to like what I make but I feel it might not be what people are into and will therefor not be interested or not like it. On a more positive note, when people actually do like what I make it feels good to know that people have the same interests and are into the things I am.

Filming in the studio made the shots we gathered feel more professional and defiantly improve the quality of the video. The way I incorporated my montage made the video flow together seamlessly. shots faded in and out of montage making it feel very smooth.

For my feature film idea i think ill focus mostly on dark humor because it would give me an outlet to make light of dark topics without having to be totally serious about it. I hope that I get to inform others about important subjects without having to make them feel sad or depressed.

For the music video I choose Gucci Gang and made it into a mix of high and low concept. The Final product looks good and in regard to high concept id say it works pretty well.
