For the second project that we conducted in Film 1, we were tasked with creating a video that had more than one shot and angle. Me and my partner Tyler were quick to go and start filming however, there was one mistake. We didn't have a script or a third person to help out. However, we pulled through and were able to come up with a hilarious video. We used POV and some set up shots to put the project together. in the end its looking like its gonna turn out pretty good.

Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? What has learning about all these shots/move

While filming our latest project we were tasked with using different types of shots. Some of the shots that were interesting and fun to use were the zoom in, the long shot, the close up and the high-angle shot. The reason why is they give a more elaborate feel to the video. Using the high angle shot gives the viewer the sense that a character is above another character, whether in social status or emotional. One shot however that i didn't enjoy doing was the handheld. I feel that a handheld experience is to easy to conduct. It gives only a one way perspective in the film. And in film you are supposed to show all angles of something or at least give the illusion.

the process for creating the TV pilot was a fun and very creative process. the script helped us out tremendously during the shooting of it. we designed the costumes around something normal kids would wear at RC. the shots i believe to have helped the most were the slow mo shots in the intro and the use of silence in the middle. we wanted a more dramatic type of video and it shows through out the final product.

The biggest mental barriers that I face with filming is just getting my confidence up in doing it in the first place. i feel as if my stories will not be looked on in great fashion, especially on the internet where critique of films and videos is very harsh. i overcome this fear mostly by not caring and really believing in the story i have produced.

The project went a lot faster and smoother when we were allowed to have sometime in the studio. the artificial lighting that we had access to made everything run like a well oiled machine. the final quality of the video was a lot more refined than the ones that we didn't.

When the inevitable project comes to be I will be focusing mostly on something like a gritty crime epic. Something that in some words is filmnior but also has a Crime inspired background and characters. im drawn to this genre because it shows depicts men doing what they felt they had to do in order to be successful. All the disgusting characters the main character might encounter all flesh out the themes of the films. i hope people respect and understand what happens and that they shoudnt be horrified by the outcome of events.

While filming the music video we decided to go with a more authentic and documentary style of music video. We chose a song that my partner had recorded previously and just had him walking and performing with the associated music. low and high concept music videos could work with rap music however in this case we went with a quicker and cleaner way of conveying the theme of the song. Mostly just to show how far we have come as film makers and to get a little crazy and dumb with the concept.
