My name is Lia Ellis and I will describe myself as outgoing , leadership , and passionate. This is my first time in a film class , but as I was growing up I did some plays and last year at my old school , I was in drama. In my future I see me graduating college in the law field and becoming a detective. I am seeking in this class some more creativity on how to work on films and how to know more about computers. This class will help me in my future because if I need to solve a case on a film , I can use this class to help me.

The process to creating our one shot story and multi-shot story was good because I was in a group where people already know how to work on cameras. The way we worked as a group was making sure we heard everyone's opinion on what we can help our stories with. I am approaching the editing process , still struggling and confused. I never worked on editing on computers and it's difficult. some success in my first project was knowing what we wanted to do and that we got it done. The only problems in my first project was completely confused on how to edit the stories. I feel like my views on film is still the same. I am still a little nervous on the future in this classroom because our next project can be difficult and I wouldn't know what to do.

Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography?

My favorite capture from my commercial is the close up because we got to see what emotions the actor was showing. My least favorite shot was the zoom in and out because it was hard trying not only capture what we need and not getting other students in it . Cinematography had taught me all different captures you can do.

My television pilot was based on a show that I like watching. My costume design is all about fur , heels , dresses , etc. I designed based on the story because I wanted to do something interesting and make my story pop out a little. We chose another person in our group television pilot because her was more interesting. The movie was about one of our friends going missing and another one of our friends killed him. we did all the types of shots to get good angles , my favorite one was the fast motion shot.

Some of my biggest barriers is not putting more effort in my after effects and not using my time wisely on my work. Some of the ups I had on film making is learning how to use the after effects and using my imagination. Some downs I had was not finishing it on time and not understanding some of the work we did. How i plan to grow in the second half of this class is finish all my work on time , learn more about film , and make sure I'm doing what I have to do to pass.

My experiment in the lighting room was interesting because there different ways you can focus the light on what your filming and there is different lights. I feel like the studio affected my final product quality in a positive way because it was the key lights that helped us. I approached my montage portion of my film by getting the clips that I new was going to make my montage stand out. What I chose to cut together was flash back and flash forwards. The effect that I want to have on my audience is to see how the young girl took a negative role at the end , instead of getting help.

I think the genre I would like to focus on is police procedural . I am drawn to this genre because in my future I would like to be in the criminal justice field to be a detective and I love watching movies that is based on crimes , police , etc. What I find most interesting about this genre is the way how the actors really get into being cops or being the suspect. I would hope others would get the same idea as me and see what I see in this genre .

My most recent shot recording the music video is about a girl who was dreaming about being best friends , but it was only a dream. The song that I chose was ''Just a Dream'' by Nelly and the type of mixtures of concepts I chose was videos that had went with the song. What my final part looks like is a girl who is laying on her bead and is dreaming. In her dreaming she texts her best friend to ask her where is she at and she sees them hanging out. But , when she wakes up , she realizes that they aren't friends anymore. I would define it as a low concept just because of the way it was filmed. I am most proud of this project because we got to pick the song.
