I like to watch football with my family. My relation to this class is that I want to learn how to edit. If I have the skill of editing I would want to edit everything. Now I'm just a student in river city who try's to be the best me. I wan't happy with what I was doing back in Stonegate. Now i changing my act and doing what I think I could do. In the future I want to go to UC Davis but I want to see what I really want to do with my life. I'm looking to see in what way I am creative. I would always say I'm not creative. So now I'm just looking to see how I could be creative and hope this class helps me to be creative.

How do filmmakers develop and convey stories within the mise-en-scène? - - Describe the process of creating your one-shot and multi-shot films... How did you work as a group to develop what shots should be taken? How are you approaching the editing process? What have been some successes and hurdles in these first projects? How do you feel your views on film have changed now that you've had a taste of the work involved?

They used to focus on the dress and manner. Creating a one shot and multi shot was fun. We had to film and after we were done filming we had to edit it. As a group we had to make sure we had the perfect shot. I am getting used to the editing process quickly. I was very confused on how to edit and i duplicated lot's of shots. Now I feel like there is more emotion towards filming and there is more work then I expected.

Consider the shots and camera movements we've defined, shot, and edited. Which is your favorite from those you captured for your commercial and why? Also, which is your least favorite shot/camera move and why? What has learning about all these shots/moves taught you about cinematography?

I like the long-shot. It captures everything in a scene. I don't like the extreme close-up. It doesn't have a good scene. It taught me that all these shot's have there own purpose in a film.

Reflect on the process of creating a TV Show Pilot: Provide the logline for your original screenplay and connect your costume designs and ad campaign to the story you created... why did you design what you designed based on the story? Tell, too, about the TV Show Pilot you filmed and edited with your group... what was it like to work with a script and what types of shot(s) do you feel brought the show to life most?

The log-line of the pilot was,"A friend who hated each other ended up killing each other". Our costumes where just casual clothes. Our costumes had to be school related so we didn't have to wear anything fancy. I think working with a script made me feel more organized. I felt like the freeze frame made more of an impact because that shot made the audience know I was dead for good and had an impact in the story .

What are some of your biggest psychological barriers when it comes to making films? Share your ups and downs of filmmaking on your blog, and how you plan to continue to grow in the second half of the class.

My biggest psychological barrier is failure when it comes to film making. I plan to make better decisions in the shots. I plan to make better edits in the future. If i keep worrying about failing I'm not going to get anywhere in film editing.

Describe your experience shooting this project in the film studio with the added lighting elements. How do you feel the studio time affected your final product quality? Additionally, how did you approach the montage portion of your film. Describe what you chose to cu together and what effect you hope for it to have on your audience.

My experience was good. I liked it because we could get any type of shot with good lighting. I felt our group could have done better with no time. It affected us by rushing some of the shots. We approached by having someone have flashbacks of what happened to her. I hope that all the stuff that has happened to her the audience could see what happens to the end.

Soon, you'll be pitching an idea for a feature film in this class. What genre do you think you'll focus your creativity on? Why are you drawn to this genre? What do you find most interesting about this genre? What would you hope others would get from your work if you were to create films in this genre?

I want to focus on horror. I'm drawn tot his genre because horror brings out the characters more if a situation was happening. I find that many characters in those types of films are more sensitive and interesting on what there actions will bring them. I hope they get that there's different types of ways you could make the character do what ever they want only if it makes sense in the situation.

Describe your most recent shoot recording a music video. Which song did you choose and what type of concept or mixture of concepts did you capture. Describe what you the final product looks like and how you'd define it in regard to "documentary," "low concept," &/or "high concept." What are you most proud of with this project?

When we shot our music video, we had to have the story plan out so the story makes more sense. We did "Just a Dream" because the story we had to do had to be about two friends being together. It was low concept because we were telling a story about two friends. I'm most proud of the story coming together.
