My name is Kyle I play volleyball and enjoy engineering and computers. I'm in a computer science class which is really fun and so far has been a breeze. I plan to either be a engineer, nurse, and i'm also considering going into computer science. I chose this class because i'm always doing new and interesting stuff at home and I find Theater as a way to let myself go in the creative area.

In class I feel like i have gotten to know more people. In regards to myself I haven't been second guessing myself as much. Regarding school i haven't noticed much change. I'm hoping i can have more changes like being able to use my planner more often.

For the group Mime Performance all of the acts were good. Everyone put in a decent amount of effort from acting, to coming up with the performance, or modifying to make it better.
For the group I was in everyone had an important role. The main idea was created by one person but it was modified to how everyone liked it. It was a good way to use the "yes and..." to make everyone happy with their role.

Please consider your monologue... what are you doing to prepare yourself for the performance? How are you going to bring physicality to your character? Also, what specifically would you like feedback about for your performance?
To prepare for the monologue i've been reading it at home and acting it out. I have been thinking about how to bring physicality and i was going to done some sort of walking while writing the letter to act like i am thinking. I would like feed back on how my voice shows emotion and the acting.

The experience of doing the monologue performance was thrilling and terrifying at the same time. Doing the monologue was thrilling because we showed each other either a part of who we are and our creative ability or showed what a part of what has happened in our life. It was terrifying because we always feel like no matter what we do we will be judged. We always try to do our best and hope for a good judgement from others.

Nice work bringing in an accent to flesh out your character. I felt your performance was solid throughout, yet it laced the vocal or physical growth of intensity toward the climatic portion of the text. How can you build vocally and physicality along with the text?

In the beginning with the collage it started off slow trying to find pictures that i liked. from there i was able to create an idea for my set design. Then i just had to create the actual set. It took some time to come up with the idea about a guy having sort of a futuristic dream and making it a reality.

My puppet character is Death. It has a white brown skull with a dark cape that has many holes. It has a mysterious aura about it. No one really knows who it is. the holes on the cape will represent who he has had to kill personally. They are there to remind him of his job and duties.

I never considered Death would need to be reminded of his job description, but I guess if you've been at something for a while you could end up on auto-pilot a bit :)

For creating my puppet I had an idea for the head but when it cam to the clothes i just went with what i thought was best. I was not sure how it would turn out but i think it looks good. The part of my puppet that i am the most proud of is the head. It really defines who Death is.

My groups puppet performance was well done. We had practiced some parts of our play and winged it on other parts. Otherwise the group did a good job overall. We were able to modify our script when we added a new person but we adjusted and made it work.
When watching others plays it was interesting to see the creativity and work put into them.

Shakespeare's work had a huge impact because instead following the way's of everyone else he created his own kind of style. To be performing one of his plays is a great honor and good learning experience for understanding his creative mind.

The two costumes i plan on doing is two sci fi costumes. Where they plan is being done later in time. The first character i am doing is Helena. she will wear a dark gray suit with a head piece attached to it that covers the eyes. To symbolize that she is blinded by love and isn't sure what else to do. the suit is silky. The clothes hug the figure but they are able to stretch.
For the second character i am doing Theseus. His main color will be red and white. the red is for how he wants to be in control and the white is for his status. He will wear a rough outfit that has some blocky spots.

Memorizing lines was a bit of a challenge but it was fun to do. when i was acting I felt it went decent trying to act like i was talking to the respective people. I feel my voice could have been projected more and could have been louder.

Submit a Creative Process Reflection for your Final Scene explaining what your performance piece is about, how you’re putting it together, and what some of your thoughts and influences are as you’re constructing the performance. What are you hoping the audience takes away from your performance? BE DETAILED AND THOROUGH WITH YOUR RESPONSE
the performance my group and i are doing is part two of our puppet play. We are going to start with the ending of our puppet play and continue on from there. We want to have the same style as before but with some added twists and new objectives. We hope that people learn that as long as you believe anything can happen.
