1. Who is more important... the playwright or the cast and crew? Defend your assertion with your logic and some examples.
In my opinion I would say the playwright is the most important one between the cast and crew because without the playwright how would they be preforming plays the playwright our the writers who come up with the plays for the cast and crew to make the play begin like yes the cast and crew are important but u find a cast and crew anywhere.
2. Also, how did your first performance in class go? What did it feel like before, during, and after?
Honestly i thought we did pretty good yeah a nine was reasonable because some of my members in the play were not being professional by laughing a little but it was our first play but I will be back to get my ten soon.
I felt pretty good because i was moving around because i didn't think i would of I thought I would of been nervous to but i didn't. I didn't like how the light was in my face that's what made me a little nervous to act because of the bright light but now i know there is a bright light i will be prepared for next time.
I started my project by looking for stuff that I really like. Everything i have had interest in was rappers, sweet stuff like candy & ice cream, super heroes, and woman. I had put every single thing I had interest onto my colleague i had designed. For my set i made a lonely land which had a beautiful sunset with nice cool looking waves with little fish which were swimming in. In the lonely land i had created also had bright green grass that had never been ruined or even step on with a big mushroom there had a dark brown bridge that had lead you to another big mushroom what was set on rocks that had lead you towards the water.
Personally I think i did good for my role in the play. My part was just to dance and to sing which i thought i did good on. But I think my group did good. Well except with cussing part but I can say for myself sorry for their actions but i didn't cuss just to let you know. But I could of done better on my puppet I could of added arms on him but i was late to do it. But overall i think everything went well.
It felt pretty cool doing something out of this time era with the language spoke of queen Elizabeth. The costume really did fit in with the character i was. Shakespeare is still relevant today because that's what had started drama class. Plus without Shakespeare there wouldn't have been famous actors we like because some famous actors come from preforming drama arts.
Look back on your final performance for the class and reflect on your work. How do you feel it went? What was great, and what would you do differently the next time? What are some of your take-aways from the whole term?
I felt like it could of been better if shad wasn't in my play he absolutely terrible I regret asking him to be a part in my play. But i felt like it could of went better if my group and I would of practice doing our play. Something differently i would do if actually finish making a play on time so I can get to practice on it. Also choose wisely on the people I ask to be apart of my plays. Some take-aways I have on this class is it let me have fun and to be myself without getting in trouble. Also that i would require kids who like to be funny and goofy to take this class to express themselves in plays.
