My name is Jade. I grew up in the city of Vallejo, raised by my mother. Ever since i was little my mom and i would watch musical like, Shirley Temple, Anne, Grease, Hairspray. I grew to love Musicals and poetry. I love to draw. my favorite Play is Hamilton by Lin Manuel Maranda. And my favorite musical Is Sweeney Todd. I Hope this class will teach me how to feel more confident, And maybe be able to Memorize things a little better. I really want to become a cartoonist and make my own cartoon, maybe even voice act in it. I also plan on taking theater 2. So i hope this class will teach me what i want to know and more.

I think the cast and crew are most important. They are more important because they are what brings everything to life. With out them nothing would happen. As for my first performance, i'd say it went great. Everyone stayed in character, we had a clear story and it was fun. The audience seemed to enjoy it, i know i did. Before i was a bit nervous that i would trip, which i did, but it fit along nicely in the play. Like Bob Ross once said, their are no mistakes only happy accidents. During the play, it was fun, i didn't even notice the audience, it was like i was actually there. When we finished i was pretty proud, i think we did great, and i cant wait to do more stuff like this.

I'm glad you felt you and your group had a strong showing. I agree that you had some great plot points that really allowed Each character to shine. Also, you did a great job of focusing on the action and maintaining character. You next step is going to be to wear more of your emotions and thoughts on your face, so the audience can read what you're thinking. Great first performance!

Reflect on the process of writing your monologue this week:
1) How did you begin? Did you brainstorm, get struck by a spark of imagination, or begin with by recounting a personal story, etc?
2) Has thinking about spine, objective, and tactics aided in your writing of an interesting story? Give an example of a tactic your character is using...
3) What theatrical gene would you apply to your monologue at this point and why?

I really wanted to personify something as if it where a living breathing human. So i chose a Mental Health issue. The story is really just remembering all these things that lead up to one event that brings it all together. Id say its mainly a sad story, but the character is really salty, and oblivious.

My experience at the theater, was over all amazing. I don't really have any comments because i just plain enjoyed it. To prepare myself, i have taken great care to understand the feelings of this character, so that i can become the character. To bring physicality really depends on the moment . like talking with your hands or moving around. the play i seen was great but it didn't really inspire me in anyway

I believe that my monolouge was a bit of a complicated story to understand. but i do think that my acting was pretty good. But other people were also really good and i dont know it was just really great.

You were so amazing!! Shush, I literally almost cried. It was really easy to depict what was happening. The acting made my heart hurt and it gave me a wave of emotions. Why are you so amazing? ❤ ❤ ❤

Well, in my collage there are these pink roses that made me think of a rose garden so i used that idea for the legs. In the back round it is all purple because there was a corner in my collage that was mostly purple, And of course being the internet trash i am, i thought of homestuck. And that is what i based the set on. A web series that died last year,

I had many "ah-ha" moments. which is why i had so many ideas, and had a hard time choosing what i wanted. i chose what story i liked better. overall it came out decent, and i thought it was very original looking.

I went about making my puppet buy using references, and thinking about its personality and how i could show that through its clothing. I didn't really know how to make her look as chaotic as i wanted her to, but i used the different textures in her clothing to help. i thing her clothes came out exactly how i planned. It really makes her pop, because the textures all clash with each other but at the same time they combine as well. The puppet is meant to be really bubbly and preppy but also a bit demented.

So my group gave an alright preformance. I think we were pretty funny but we still could have been a little more prepared. The same goes for other preformances. The most important thing was everyone had fun.

My final Scene is a poem about bullying, and depression. it tells a story from many different perspectives. It will be a dim lighting and i will use a chair. I will be taking on a serious tone, and try to seem a bit motivating.
