I am Lizette and the only thing that is interesting about me is that I can learn and remember dance moves and I hope in the future I can be an expert at dancing and I want to save up money and buy a dance studio. I am seeking that in this class it can help me to remember more things so I do not forget about things like in the middle of a play I do not forget my lines and also, I want it to help me to not be shy because I am a shy person and I want to change that I want to have confidence.

1. Who is more important... the playwright or the cast and crew? Defend your assertion with your logic and some examples. 2. Also, how did your first performance in class go? What did it feel like before, during, and after?
1. I think that the playwright is more important because you need to know what you are going to do and how you need to act it out. 2. It was alright but it should of been better. It felt awkward and weird and not that interesting.

I wish I knew even more about why you think you were feeling the way you did about your performance. Was is lack of rehearsal? Miscommunication with your team? Embarrassment about the physicality of your spirit animal?

Overall, you did come across as embarrass. Was this how your character was supposed to feel? The best thing about acting is that you need only worry about what your character is thinking. Next time dive in all the way with your character and reconnect with yourself when you're done.

Reflect on the process of writing your monologue this week:
1) How did you begin? Did you brainstorm, get struck by a spark of imagination, or begin with by recounting a personal story, etc?
2) Has thinking about spine, objective, and tactics aided in your writing of an interesting story? Give an example of a tactic your character is using...
3) What theatrical genre would you apply to your monologue at this point and why?

1. I begin by recounting a personal story.
2. I am not sure but I think it is a good story because it happened in my life. And one of my characters is using happy emotions.
3. I would apply it as a tragedy because there is a lot of going on in my monologue.

Share out about your experience this week attending "As You Like It" at Sacramento Theatre Company. Indicate evidence that supports your opinion.
Additionally, consider your monologue... what are you doing to prepare yourself for the performance? How are you going to bring physicality to your character? How might you apply what you saw in live theatre this week to inspire your monologue performance?

I saw the movie because I didn't go. The movie was good because the actors showed a lot of action when they were fighting and also it was interesting because you never knew what was going to happen like in the begging when other people attacked and killed people during the beginning.
I am going to show emotion and i am going to put myself in the shoes of my character.

When I was going to perform my monologue I was really nervous at first but then I was not because I felt like a different person and I was glad that I got over with it because I had confidence. I feel like I can perform now without being nervous and stressed out. I am proud of myself of actually performing in front of people because I am usually shy and sometimes I have stage fright.

Describe the beginning concept for your set design. What elements of your inspiration collage did you draw upon? What is the basic stage scene you're setting in your design? Is there a strong design concept yet it regard to style, form, texture, color, etc.?

The elements I used was the cast of Pretty Little Liars and Annabel. Also some food like waffles and berries. The basic stage is that the four girls are in a diner room. Yes, there is going to be some things moving because Annabel is going to be in the set doing things that the girls will want to know what is going on. So they will have a mission that no one else will know about because they wont care whats going on and the style is going to change, the form will too, i am not sure about the texture yet,and i will try to change the colors like a good day to a time that it is suspicious.

Consider the work you put into creating your puppet. How did you go about it? What did you struggle with along the way and how did you problem solve those moments? What parts of your puppet really stand out to you as great? How did those parts come about? What about your puppet's personality are you hoping to bring about through your voice?

The struggle was drawing her face and i solved it by trying. The dress stand out to me because the way it is with all the dirtiness and because it is kinda the main part of the puppet. Well the personality is difficult because the actual character does not talk but I'm going to make her talk and also she is a demon inside a doll so she really doesn't have a personality but if she did it would be really bad. And i would try to make a voice that is creepy and of how a doll would sound.

I think that I did alright by keeping the puppet alive
but i think that i should of moved more. I liked how i did the dress and im proud of the dress. Also I am proud of my puppet. But i should of painted her face instead of drawing it. But i think i did good.

Describe your Shakespearean experience over the last weeks: What was it like performing a work written over 400 years ago? How did you approach your costume and makeup/hair designs for the scene? Why do you believe Shakespeare remains relevant to audiences to this day?

My experience was confusing for me because i do not understand the way they talk. It was also a good time learning something new that i didn't know. I believe he remains relevant because he still inspires people. I got inspired by the movie for the costumes because of the colors and the way they used to dress.

This reflection should explain what your Final Scene performance piece is about, how you’re putting it together, and what some of your thoughts and influences are as you’re constructing the performance.

My final scene is about three girls are in a mission and one gets kidnap and the other two have an argument and one of them dies.

Look back on your final performance for the class and reflect on your work. How do you feel it went? What was great, and what would you do differently the next time? What are some of your take-aways from the whole term?

I felt nervous because I was planning to do something different but i ended up doing something else. The great part was the beginning. The thing I would do next time is that I will look up more and try not to be shy and not be nervous I would be calm. Also some of my take-aways are how the theater is planned out and you need a lot of people to do work on stage and that every single job is really important and without those jobs there can't be a show.
