I'm Makayla. I am !4 years old and the reason I chose to do drama is because I knew we would have to perform stuff in front of a live audience, and that would really help my fear. My fear is talking in front of large crowds, especially presenting stuff in front of them. I am a cheerleader which means lots of performing in front of people, so i am comfortable with performing, not speaking. Performing in front of people in drama will help me get comfortable with talking and performing in front of a large scale audience.

1. The playwright is most important because the cast has nothing to perform off of with out a script. The crew has nothing to build off, literally, without a script

2. My first performance could have gone better. I was breaking character because i was laughing and making noise. It was hard to remember because we practiced before a three day weekend, and didnt get time to practice when we came back.

1) I began my thinking of something that happened to me a few years ago. 2) Not exactly, my story is kind of boring my adding detail and some, slight, exaggeration

oh and 3) I would add Horror/Tragic Comedy because the story then was super scary to me then, but now it is just super funny to me 😂😂🌩️

1) I really liked it. The characters seemed like they really had a connection with one another. The fondness, passion, even hate. They were all brought to the audience in a very strong and endearing place. They used all of the little space they had. They went up the stair ways in the seats, getting more involved with the audience.
2)
a) To prepare for any performance, vocal exercises, script practicing, and practicing facials and getting into character are very important when it comes to preparing. Also have the set up of lights and props ready. All though light work might be easy, getting the timing can be tricky.
b) Rather than talking, and speaking to represent emotion or feeling, to physically show it with your body really makes the audience think. It makes them think. "is it happiness? sadness? fear?"
c) To get inspiration from this weeks performance, you can make sure the scenery fits, make sure that the lighting fits the emotion, the characters are speaking loud and with passion plus emotion. I would make sure the relationships are believable and seem real.

I feel as though my performance went well. i thought my voice was clear and loud, and i think that my monologue was pretty good since i did make it the morning before

My design is all over the place. None of it makes sense, honestly. Lots of color. Possibly lots of color

The creative process for me a was a wee bit challenging considering the fact that my collage was very scattered and all over the place. i started putting some of the things together and noticed they didn't exactly go together as i had hoped. i ended up doing the theme of an iSpy book. Those books were my favorite things as a child. I had every type except one 😭😂😂 The story to me was kind of Alice in Wonderland. The character needed to collect all of the items to escape, and save herself and her loved ones.

I went about my puppet, with the intention of not knowing what i was doing. I knew what i wanted for face, but for clothes, i just wung it. My arms kept falling off, but i kept re-hot gluing it. The parts that stand out are her red lips, and her sparkly dress, and it came out great! I am hoping to show her attitude and wittiness through my voice

I liked watching other peoples puppet performances because they showed their creative mind set. It was fun to just sit and relax and watch an entertaining show

I did really like performing my play because it was really fun to make and i feel like i was loud enough

My experience with Shakespeare has been smooth. Granted i dont exactly understand the language and how they word it. Performing work that was written 400 years ago is crazy to me. What if they changed some things here and there, what if they changed, EVERYTHING. I made the makeup very extravagant, and the costumes as if it could be used for weddings so there was floral, dull colors, neutral colors. Shakespearean is still relevant because of how it speaks to people. Some people find the language very strong.

what some of your thoughts and influences are as you’re constructing the performance.
I love our performance that we are going to do because it is really funny and has some funny little twists. Some things may be slightly for mature audience, but we all can stand a little bit of the funniest humor out there. Right now, our script is a little wonky and we need to add way more in terms of time/how long it is, but the thought of it is excellent. I find it really funny. The influence would be our puppet show, and a little more added

i absolutely love what we did. I thought it was sooo funny. We broke character a little bit, but i still think we did great. I feel it went well and other people liked it. Next time i would add more dialoge
