My name is Tehrem! Right now, I am an ordinary student, but when I graduate from my many years in college, I will become a Pediatrician. I will use my knowledge of drama in this class, to be able to keep my young patients entertained and feel welcome and loved. A pediatrician is a children's doctor, so for all the children, I'd like to make them smile, while keeping them healthy. This is my goal for the future and what I wish to gain from this class.

The playwright and the others are just as important. It's like a puzzle, without a piece, you can't make out the picture. If you only have a playwright you have nobody to direct the play and nobody to act it out, as well as the costumes. It also works vice versa, if there's no script, then everyone else has nothing to do, nothing to act off of, no props to make because they have no idea what anything is about. They all need one another.

The other day for our play, I played a bunny, and I was the prey. Everyone really had their own ideas, so it was hard to follow along, and everyone eventually got together and planned out a good scene. I didn't get a signal which was a bit upsetting, in the end we improvised and it came out really good. I liked being dragged away to be cooked at the end, very fun. It was an amazing experience, it really makes me want to be in Theatre!

I began by thinking about stories I've been told, especially from my father. He did lots growing up and he told me often about the things he did, such as his trips over seas, his loss, and his will for a better future for himself and his family. He told me about the problems he faced and the tactics he used to get around them, thinking about spine and tactics was never a big deal because it was straight from someone else's mouth, hearing their problems and how they solves them. A tactic my dad was using was getting a boat, he had not a lot of money, so he got a job on a boat that was travelling, not a fancy cruise ship, but a ship that was transporting things around the world. The language barrier was also a big deal, my dad didn't speak English at the time, and eventually he found someone who spoke his language, a higher up, who helped him very much. My monologue would be an adventure/action/comedy.

Continuing the monologue. Why? I would call my monologue an adventure, because that's what it was to him, an adventure. Action, because of all the events that had happened, and comedy because they had a great time and made many jokes together, it made me laugh, hopefully it does the same to you.

This week my experience at "As you like it" was one of the best theatre experience I've ever faced. It was amazing seeing actors my age and it really motivated me. They really did great on the wording of Elizabethan language. Even when there were accidents, they continued to get back up and continue the play.

To prepare myself for the monologue I will rehearse the words in different emotion and see which works best. I believe bringing physicality to my character won't be too hard, because gave him the character of a normal around 20 year old person, mature, yet immature. I really used my dad's 20 year old personality, he often told me about it. Applying what I saw in theatre to my performance, I saw they put a lot of emotion into every line and I want to do the same. No line was said plainly without any emotion. Personally, that was really inspiring to myself.

Before the monologue I was nervous, very nervous. I feel as if I hadn't practiced enough, and seeing all the others amazing performances, I was even more nervous. When going up, I felt shaky, my heart was beating really fast. While talking, I was afraid I would stutter. Although, after starting, I realized, it wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. It really boosted my self confidence when the crowd laughed at a joke I had made. Afterwards, I felt relieved and happy with the outcome. But, at the same time, I was a bit disappointed, I thought I could've done better, and it played out more neatly in my head. I also forgot a line, which I ended up skipping, because of my nervousness. It was such a nice line too. I feel more confident in standing in front of these people now that I've done it once.

Describe the beginning concept for your set design. What elements of your inspiration collage did you draw upon? What is the basic stage scene you're setting in your design? Is there a strong design concept yet it regard to style, form, texture, color, etc.?

The beginning concept for my design was just a bunch of food and a few cute animals here and there. I drew upon the sweets present in the collage. It reminded me of a bakery or a table full of sweets. The basic scene/setting for my stage is small people on a large table with cookies and cakes placed around the table. I believe my design has a strong concept, I'm very happy about how it's turning out.

I really liked the work I put into my puppet. The clothing I didn't like as much as I thought I would, and the face was one of my favorites. A struggle I dealt with was the shape of the dress, it wasn't flowy, I decided to improvise and keep it closed in. My puppet's personality is very innocent-acting, but she is quite bratty. We gave her a British accent, so if she scoffed, it really sounded like she was annoyed, I like how my puppet turned out overall.

I actually wasn't too displeased with our performance. I think we could've been louder. Our acting was pretty good, and I really liked the voice acting. I think everyone played their part really well. Everyone else did a comedy of some sort, I'm glad we made ours a tragedy, it was nice and different. Getting ready for it, I have some peeves about. Only around 3 members of the group actually helped out with the script, it was most Yuki's doing, so props to her. I really think if certain unnamed people helped out more, they could've been happier with the play, although they were too busy doing their own things.
