I'm Tiffanie and i decided to take this class because i really like to perform in front of people but i am some what shy so it makes it hard to go in front of people but i hope this class will help me over come my stage fright. i also decided to be in this class because i really like seeing the behind the scene and i kind of want to be a movie director.

In theatre the playwright, the crew, and the cast are all very important to make the play go on. There is not just one person who is more important than the other. For example, in order for the play to be performed for an audience a crew is needed for everything backstage and if there wasn't a crew the show wouldn't be able to be performed. Also if there inst a playwright then the cast would have nothing to perform unless they did improve. So in total everyone is an important part in putting on a performance.

My experience attending "As You Like It" was very good. I really liked it because the actors made everything their characters did seem so believable, i also liked it because the actors used the space they had very well and made the whole production look very good.
In order to prepare myself for my performance of my monologue i am going over and over what i wrote so i wont be stumbling over my words when i perform.I am going to bring physicality to my character by using the space i have to make my performance believable. What i saw in the theatre is helping to inspire me to perform my monologue because it showed that it is not as hard as i thought it was to perform in front of a crowd.

My experience performing my monologue was really good because the audience was respectful and quite while i was talking. Before i performed i was very nervous and didn't even want to do it i was thinking about just taking a zero but when i got up there to perform it, it wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be and i was way less nervous than i thought i was going to be. After i was done performing it i was very relieved that it was over and that i didn't have to do it anymore. As an audience member watching everyone else performances it was really cool because everyone performs so differently and you didn't see the same thing twice. In conclusion performing my monologue wasn't even as bad as i was making it seem like it was going to be.

My set design is very colorful. It is kind of Disney themed, but instead of it being normal Disney everything is dog themed. By "dog themed" I mean it's kinda like a parallel universe and in all the Disney movies, there are dogs instead of people.

over the past 3 weeks when we where working on our set designs it was a very complicated process. it was easy at first when we where just making the collages because there wasn't any real designing in that. the hard part came when we had to actually start making the set designs. while we where building our sets it was a hard to decide where everything was going to go and it was also hard trying to find out how to make certain things. another hard part was when we where hot gluing things because i kept burring myself. the presentation wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be, it was actually kinda easy cause we just talked about our set designs.

The puppet that i made is a dinosaur, it was a little hard to make it due to its body not being directly under its head like how a person is because its body is slightly behind its head. A problem i had was for a long time i couldn't figure out what to use to make the body round and oval like. The part of my puppet that stands out the most to me as great is the body because it took me a while to do and i think it turned out really good. The personality of my puppet that i hoping to bring to life is that the dinosaur tries to be big and scary but he acts more silly when he tries to be scary since hes a nice dinosaur.

My final performance is a reenactment of different scenes from the Spider-man movies. We are putting it together by writing a script and memorizing it. We are also working on gathering our props so we have the right stuff to make our performance the best it can be. My influences while doing this performance and project are the actors in the spider-man movies. My thoughts are that i feel its going to go really well and that it is going to be portrayed very well.

I feel that my final performance went very well. My reenactment of Spider-man was very to the point on most parts. The parts that we made up carried along the story very well and helped portray what point we where trying to get across. Next time i would add more dialogue and action scenes in to make it more interesting. I think the best part was the fighting scene at the end because that was the part with the most action making it the most interesting. My takeaways from the whole term are that i really like being on stage more than i thought i did and that if i can i would really like to squeeze the theater 2 class into my schedule. Also this year i learned that there are way more jobs in the performing arts field rather than just an actor so that opened up a lot more job options for me.
