i thought everyone did a good job in their performances. I was laughing most the time. Everyone did a good job. My group performance i think was pretty good. I mean we could have done better maybe but we where all nervous. overall it was good.
good job :)
Regarding your Group Mimed Performance: You did not appear nervous as much as confused about what your character was to do next. Would more rehearsal have helped with this?
my character is me basically, a person on the first day of school.
i will phisicalize the character by kind of over reacting to lots of things and using lots of motion and exaggerating
i will be preparing by practicing my lines and the things i will say.
i want to just know if i looked nervous or how i was acting.
Regarding you Monologue Performance: You did appear nervous as your speech was mumbled and rushed. In terms of acting, in a few moments your character came to "life", but you would break with laughter or because you would need to read your script. Next step is to be fully confident with the script so you can focus on sustaining your character.
My monologue was fun too preform. I was very nervous, and i did notice i was mumbling and stuttering a lot and i couldn't really read the script good, but overall i think i did quite well.
Your monologue was really good i loved it. I did notice when you were stuttering but overall your performance was good.
Today I did my puppet performance. It was very nerve racking. Making the puppet and making the script was very fun. preforming was very fun. Everyone in the audience was very good they where all listening to the play, and that helped me keep going
In regard to your puppet play performance: You were just loud enough for the space, except when there was laughter at your funny script, then we had a tough time hearing you. Additionally, because of the humor, you yourself broke character a number of times which is frowned upon when performing. What would help in you being so into the character, you can disregard your own reaction to the audience?
I preformed this week with my group. I think we did pretty well. we did the same as the rest of the groups.I wasn't nervous I just didn't know my lines by heart yet so I just asked for my lines well I was up their .
My final scene is based on the musical Annie. Annie is a musical and its about this little girl that's an orphan. Its about her life basically. We are all going to be singing that I know of. I'm not going to be Annie, I'm another orphan in this performance. I hope the audience laughs most of all and i hope they like it.
Regarding your final scene: Well the Annie scene didn't pan out. Why was that? In the theatre world, when there is a scheduled time for the curtain to rise, you must be prepared. You team did however put some improv on the stage. Due to lack of focus prior to the performance, it was a bit off the mark in terms of characters, staging, and content. Overall, I hope your takeaway from this class is that being prepared for public speaking is important and will only help you be successful.
For my performance me and my group where playing the kardashians in their everyday life .I think the performance went very well. The audience enjoyed and laughed and they where entertained .I think we deserve a well grade.
