i've learned about where the theater came from and how it all began. l have also learned about where the plot begins in the story. in the theater it has also helped me become less shy.

I thought the play was fun to watch and interesting. I thought it was fun to watch and interesting because of all the different characters that we got to see and how they changed the way come characters act or think. Another thing I thought was fun was being able to be a character and guess what character it was.

Regarding your Group Mimed Performance: You came across timid at the start, but warmed up to full involvement. What can you do to calm your nerves so you can you start at 100%?

Regarding you Monologue Performance: Your nerves show through your toes! You swinging leg was you, not your character. Slow down the pace so the patter of the speech sounds more natural and less read. What would have allowed you to slow down and take on the character more fully? More rehearsal?

i felt like i did a little bit better than what i would've done by myself. i also thought that i should have stayed in character and spoke a little louder in the beginning.

I'm sure you'll do good on your performance place next week. Keep it up!

Regarding your puppet play performance: Just as if your puppet was a real person, your character needed to "open-up" so the audience could see the face. This kind of manipulation is difficult if you're focused on the script. Perhaps more preparation with the text would have aided in your ability to focus on the physicality of your character.

Regarding your final scene: I curious as to how you feel the scene went overall? From my point of view there was a lot of room for improvement. A bit of dedicated and focused rehearsal would have gone a long way for your group. You asked me to look for your confidence, but I must admit that I had a hard time adjudicating your performance as you spent the entire scene facing upstage with your back toward the audience. By not even showing your face I have to imagine you were not feeling confident. I hope that you enjoyed this class this term and take away the notion that preparing for large presentations and performances can only help you to be more confident and do better in the long run.
