I feel my views on film have changed because I used to just watch movies and not think about them. Now I see the cuts and notice how directors use them so often. I feel like that it is not an easy job to be a director because you have to get what you thought of in your head to come to real life
My favorite shots on the ones we are working on is pan just because you could do more action with pan because the camera is moving the whole time. The one I least like is the oblique shot because it really isn't used much in videos or in pictures. These shots have taught me that it really takes tough decisions for cinematographers to decide on what shot they want to use for every take.
Film is a unique artistic language because it's one of many ways for people to express themselves in the only way they can. I believe that in the film of "friends" that we created we showed how it is to be a nerd and how every corner there's someone ought to get you.
When I first started this class I thought it was gonna be an easy A and it is if I did all the homework. The hardest thing to do in this class was editing but somehow I wasn't bad at it and I did pretty good. The times that I had the most fun was when we were all filming and we got to be creative and funny. I learned that you could have fun and do your work at the same time. Some trouble I had was understanding how to capture each shot and it took awhile for me to understand them all. I have learned a lot in this class. I now watch movies with new eyes watching how the director captured all his or her shots and how he or she could of captured them. I really enjoy taking this class and I can't wait whats in store for next semester
I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying learning the content. The balance of work and fun is a good one to aim for in life, not just an "Easy A" class. Strive to find the joy in what you pursue so you can always have balance in life.
Describe your experience shooting this project in the film studio with the added lighting, camera, and sound equipment. How do you feel the studio time affected your final product quality
I really liked filming in the studio. It was really fun and we got to mess around with the new green screen and the mic. I fell the studio is really effective and it gave us a better film than an outdoors film.
Soon, you'll be pitching an idea for a feature film in this class. What genre do you think you'll focus your creativity on? Why are you drawn to this genre? What do you find most interesting about this genre? What would you hope others would get from your work if you were to create films in this genre?
I think I will be focusing on comedy as usual. I am very comfortable with this genre and I really love to make films about comedy because I am very natural in the comedy films. This genre really brings out people's creative side because they can express themselves in jokes and other funny skits. I would hope that other people laugh at my films and find joy in them.
Best Director because when it's time to record, you literally plan the video out right away and somehow get 'er done.
Give your classmates some kudos and "award" them on THEIR blog. Reply to at least two peers using an awards season "Best _________" and tell them why you feel they deserve that award!
Best director for the juuiiicee idea. Really child-friendly videos.
Jason let me tell you that YOU SUCK!!!!
