I am a kid who enjoys being creative and making other things for people to see and judge. In the future i can see myself still enjoying to display my creativity, and not really care about what others have to say. I just wanted to explore new things I guess when i thought of this class.

1. Who is more important... the playwright or the cast and crew? Defend your assertion with your logic and some examples. 2. Also, how did your first performance in class go? What did it feel like before, during, and after?

The playwright is more important in my opinion solely because of the fact that they actually produce the material. Cast and Crew members only further expand upon said material.

**Forgot about Question 2 lol.

I think that my performance went well. I sincerely think that my whole group did a really good job with what we had created. :)

1) How did you begin? Did you brainstorm, get struck by a spark of imagination, or begin with by recounting a personal story, etc?
2) Has thinking about objective and tactics aided in your writing of an interesting story? Give an example of a tactic your character is using...
3) What theatrical genre would you call your monologue at this point and why?

1.) I started by just envisioning my favorite show ( The Trailer Park Boys) and thinking about a story that would fit the shows humor. I also added a bit of my own humor into it too.
2.) The tactics have helped me flesh out my monologue a little bit, but i think just free thinking has gotten me farther.
3.) I would call my monologue a comedic one. It has undertones of a little bit of satire, but it mostly just involves humor.

Consider your monologue... Give a synopsis of your story and the character you're going to portray. What are you doing to prepare yourself for the performance? How might you bring physicality to your character?

My story summarized is about a group of three guys who commit petty crimes to make it by. One of them (Bubbles) wants out, he wants an honest job that he can be proud of. So he is trying to convince his friends to join him.

Im just going to try and act like how bubbles would in an episode for my performance.

Reflect on your monologue performance. What it like in preparation and anticipation? What was your experience during the delivery of your monologue? What parts do you feel went really well. What parts so you know you'd want to improve upon? Also, what was it like being an audience for your peer's monologues?

I feel like i did pretty good performing my monologue. I didn't really stop in my tracks much, although I did stumble over my words every once in a while. I want to improve on moving my body more while im in front of that many people. Since i feel like thats one of my performing shortcomings.

Describe the beginning concept for your set design. What elements of your inspiration collage did you draw upon? What is the basic stage scene you're setting in your design? Is there a strong design concept yet it regard to style, form, texture, color, etc.?

The concept that I had visualized for my set was one of a very odd nature. I didn't want it to be something that you can understand, instead something that people can interpret for themselves. My collage was also very odd, so I guess that was my theme for my overall design.

An aHa moment that I had during that conference was that there are a lot more positions in the theater world than I had thought before.

Tell about the process of creating your puppet. Give two examples of how the character you were creating influenced design choices such as painting the facial features and costuming.
Also, reflect on your puppet play performance. What was challenging and what went well? How do you feel your voice performance went? How did you enjoy watching the other puppet shows?

My character didn't really influence my mask design But the most challenging part of making my puppet was probably making the head of my puppet. I didn't really know where to go with how big i wanted it to be, so that was the most challenging part. I actually really like Liam & I's performance. I felt like it went really well, although i wish i recorded it.

You have likely studied Shakespeare prior to this class, or at the least were introduced to him and his work this week. Reflect on why you believe one person's work could be so highly acclaimed and how you feel taking on one of his famous scenes for your next project.

When you look at someone like Shakespeare you see someone who loved his craft and truly wanted to see it grow into something bigger. He didn't just make plays for the sake of making a play, he wanted to get a message across with each line he was putting down on the script. That's why i think hes so renowned.

Reflect on your "A Midsummer's Night Dream" scene performance. Offer insight into what it was like taking direction, memorizing lines, and performing a famous Shakespearean work.

It was really fun doing a Shakespeare play and seeing others in there roles. I didn't do so well on remembering my lines but it was still really fun seeing the reactions from everyone.

This reflection should explain what your performance piece is about, how you’re putting it together, and what some of your thoughts and influences are as you’re constructing the performance.

Our performance is kinda centered around Liam & I hopping from planet to planet getting into different situations. Our influences are The Trailer Park Boys and Interstellar. We use some of the same plot points from interstellar, and we use similar humor to TPB.

You will provide a Self-Evaluation Reflection on your blog following your performance basing your comments on the Evaluation Rubric’s criteria: Acting, Use of Space, Text, & Process.

For my last performance of Theater 1 I think I did pretty well acting. I never really took any of the roles too seriously so It just came pretty easily to me. For a majority of the plays we did. I liked making every play atleast a little different, and a factor to that was using different types of space on the stage, and presenting myself differently on the stage.
