My name's Caiyell, and I like to do photography because that's basically the only thing i'm kinda good at. I mean I might be good at other things but I don't wanna sound self-absorbed because you might say that i'm not good at something that I said i'm good at. A fact about me is that i'm really, i mean really short (because of the coffee.) I also enjoy watching theatre, since I can't act or speak in front of a lot of people, but it's fun to see other people do it. And rest easy my man, Mercutio :( (p.s. if you know where this is from, I love you already, but don't tell anyone.) Also, a big shout out to my boii, Benvolio ;) (you a guapo te quiero mucho mi amor)

1. Who is more important... the playwright or the cast and crew? Defend your assertion by explaining your logic and providing some examples. 2. Also, how did your first in-class performance go? What did it feel like before, during, and after performing your animal pantomime?

In my opinion, both the playwright and the actors/crews are important to a play because both of them makes an actual show happen. A playwright makes the scripts, while the actors perform on how the scripts are made.
Our first in-class performance went well because at first we were kind of nervous, but as soon as we started, it felt natural. Before our performance, it was kind of nerve-wracking because we were unsure on how it was gonna go. During the show, it felt very flowy and fast because we were in motion. After the show, it felt nice because we finished it.

Give a synopsis of your monologue and the character you portrayed. What specific part of the preparation (worksheets, acting exercises, scoring,, etc.) most helped you to prepare for the performance? To what extent did you feel you were "in character" when performing your monologue? What's your biggest take-away from this project & performance?

The monologue I created was related to me, It was meant to be emotional and vulnerable. It wasn't hard remembering what happened because the story still affects me in a big way. The way I became in character was when I would think of what happened to my grandma because it was about her. When I was performing my monologue, I was so nervous because it hurts remembering what happened. My biggest take-away from this was to find an inspiration when you're going to perform because it can motivate you.
