i was a cop and many other roles that was like the first time I have had many roles in a production because I usually have only one role but it makes me appreciate the people who do ensemble work.

Doing this one act was really fun. Auditioning was really scary and weird, I do wish I did crew because it would've been really fun I think. With this one act being hard to create in our lowest amount of time. Alex did really amazing putting it together with the amount of people we had in the class. Also I think you should push us to speak louder every year because they didn't say anything about needing to be louder! Anyway loved it so fun to do and experience with friends.

It was cool being able to produce and take part in such a successful production that only took a couple weeks to put together. I personally played a smaller role so it wasn't as hard for me to memorize the lines, but I appreciate the main cast for memorizing everything in only a couple weeks.

I enjoyed being a part of the one act. It was a great experience being able to work with other people and be a part of something as fun as that.

It was a fun experience going to Lenaea and meeting all the other theater kids. Watching other schools one acts were really fun, especially the bigger scale ones.

This was my second year doing Lenea and it was an even better experience than last time. I was a lot more engaged in the activities this year, and the experience as a whole was a fun weekend away. It felt like going on a trip. The one act was also fun to put together thanks to out wonderful and helpful director. The show turned out amazing and even outside of our award, I'm very happy we did it. Although me and Mary didn't end up getting to perform our duo scene, I think that was my favorite of everything to do with Lenea. My monologue was also great, but hugely nerve wracking as I'd never performed alone like that before and it's a largely different experience. Working with and hearing from professionals in the industry was a great experience and I'm glad I was able to do it. :)

It was fun to be apart of this production. It was amazing to see how it all got built and put together. For this production I had a couple of different parts. Even though they weren't major it was still fun to learn all my lines and perform it for people to enjoy.

This was my second time at Lenaea and doing a one-act. I was very excited for Lenaea because of how much fun I had last year, but it was fun and stressful this time, because I had my own submissions and was dealing with the hype of homecoming at the school at the same time. However, I did great. My duo was fun, and my musical theater was a journey, that did create a win on my part. Overall, it was great and educational wait to do it again!

My experience with At the Bottom of Lake Missoula was positive overall. We put the show together in 2 weeks and still took home the bronze. Not only did we put the show together in 2 weeks but we also had the swing step in and take over one of our roles the day of the competition at Lenaea. I think performing in front of parents and friends for the first few shows was very helpful for us to prepare for lenaea and calm our nerves a bit before stepping in front of the judges.

Lenaea was pretty fun overall. I enjoyed preforming and working in a different stage set up from our own was interesting. The workshops I attended were informational and interesting. It was fun being able to wander the campus with friends and meet other theater nerds.

At the bottom of Lake Missoula was an educating experience that was overall fun and exciting. We put a lot of work in to putting on in 3 weeks. At the end of the day Missoula and really Lenaea was an experience that taught me the value of hard work and listening to your peers. It also taught me to think on my feet and that sometimes you have to improvise and work with the resources you have. My job was swing so I would step in for a crisis and I was not expecting to perform at Lenaea but the original actor got sick, so it was a new challenge for me to step in perform with 24 hours notice. Overall I would do Lenaea again and work with my troupe again. This is an experience that I wont forget anytime soon.

Lenaea was a very wonderful experience. Seeing other high schools perform their own one acts, performing our own, and attending workshops with new people was something very fun. It was also a great opportunity to get to set up a production very quickly, perform it, and then take it back down, where it really depended on how well everyone worked with each other. Overall, it's just a place where we got to learn a lot about theater, here, in other schools, and professionally.

Working on At the Bottom of Lake Missoula was a very educating experience. We only had three weeks to work on it from start to finish so we had to learn how to focus in. I enjoyed working on it as I got to experience different parts of crew work that I had never done before. I was Stage Manager for the first time so I had to learn how to manage those responsibilities. I also did sound for the first time and had to make sure I was playing sounds at the right time. This meant that I really had to pay attention when the show was running and learn what the cues were. It was easier to do in our home theater as I could see the whole stage and know exactly what was happening. At Lenaea, I was behind a curtain and had to listen for the line before my cue to be said. That was still a bit difficult as the curtain muffled the sound a lot, but I managed to perform my part very well. Overall, it was a very fun and exciting experience and I wish I could do it again.

Getting prepared for Another Openin' was really fun and a different experience than I had had in the past. I was able to preform a song and duo scene, while also being a key part in the one act. having to practice and learn everything outside of the theater was interesting because in the past I has simply showed up and I was told where to go what to do and how to do it, but with my song and duo scene I had to figure out what to do and how I wanted to portray my actions rather than being told how to. Lenaea was a n interesting experience for me due to the fact that I was sick and unable to preform anything. I was disappointed, but seeing other preform and do super well was a treat. Overall it was a fun and interesting experience and one I will grow and learn from.

Directing From The Bottom of Lake Missoula was such a great experience for me. I spent a lot of time before the class reading the script and working on my vision and plan for the project. Once the class started we only had a few weeks to work before the show needed to be ready for performances at Another Openin' and at the Lenaea High School Theater Festival. Most of the cast I had for the show were so great to work with and very on top of making sure that everything was happening as it should have been. I was super grateful for all of them and they made the project much more manageable for me. Lenaea was so much fun. I was very happy with our performance there and I appreciated the feedback that we received from our adjudicators. Overall this was a great experience and, despite the stress of the time crunch, I was very happy with the product we were able to put out.

This year's competition at Lenaea was my first, and I had a great time. It was super exciting to see people perform(from our school and other schools). 10/10 highly recommend. Also I'm super proud of everyone <3

The auditions were very nerve racking since the piece I was sharing is very emotional for me. I was happy that I got a spot to perform at Lenaea. performing at another opening for me wasn't nearly as scary as performing at Lenaea; my biggest trial was keeping the piece within the time range and dealing with the fact that I messed up when in front of the judges. I loved being able to perform At The Bottom Of Lake Missoula with everyone. I think we all did very well and I'm over the moon that I won an award for my piece. overall I think I gained a lot from this experience and I can't wait for next year. 3/22/2024 09:24:50 am
MY FAVOORITE PART OF LENAEA WAS WELL THE FIRST PART I CANT SAY BUT I DID BEHAVE, AND MY OTHER FAVOORITE PART WAS TALKING ABOUT FOOD TRUCKS AND MENUES WITH THE PURPLE ALEX AND THEN MY OTHER FAVOORITE PART WAS GETTING A COOKIE FROM EVANE AND THEN MY OTHER FAVOORITE PART WAS GUARDING ALEX AND MOGAN'S THINGS. MY OTHER FAVOORITE PARTS WERE HANNAH AND MARY. I DO NOT WANT TO THINK ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE BECAUSE THAT WAS A NIGHTMARE.

This year we learned about a girl which I forgot the name of, her whole family died to a tornado and then she had to go off to school and met a partner were she has to finish a project with him. But they both find out about there life's. The boy tries to help the girl and kind of help with getting over their deaths. I helped with backstage stuff when needed and watch them practice. Morgan the lead actor did a good job I think.

I think at the bottom of lake Missoula it was a good act but it had some sad parts to it that make it more interesting and I feel like the act really fit Morgan and she did a very good job. The story was about a girl whose family died in a bad tornado accident and the daughter went off to college not knowing the tornado was coming and survived the tornado while her whole family died due to it, she would have flashbacks of them and miss them dearly so much that she would start to feel like she was "At the Bottom of Lake Missoula". This year i enjoyed helping out and watching the acts from start to finish it made me get out of my skin a little bit and i enjoyed it so much.

I believe this was a good experience for not just me, but for the full class, especially. This was a good experience for teamwork building, a good time to get out of your shell to express your talents and social skills to the people within the same interest as you. I believe that if the theater generations all work together, they will inspire noobies. This is also a good experience to be each others role models. It's an inspiring class filled with fun, interesting and helpful activities. Even though I didn't really have part in the one act, I believe it was a fun experience to tag along with. Lenaea helped bring all ideas together and helped bring along helpful information for the future. In a way, I think this event all made us learn something in a way, which is something I realized, and I am sure others will agree with me on this...

The thing about Stage 2 is that it throws you right into the action, which makes it both exciting and at times overwhelming, but overall it is a positive experience. We didn't have much time to put together Missoula, but we did and I think that shows how in this class you learn a lot more than how to build things and random technical terms. A lot of it is working with people to make something come together, and it makes you feel like a part of something, and proud of the production when you can look at the final product and think "I made that!". I like going to Lenaea both years that I've gone because I like showing what we've made, but I also like seeing what other people have put together. It takes time and effort and lots and lots of rehearsing, but the finished result is something you can still look back on and feel accomplished. You cherish the memories of things like that even long after it's all done and packed up.

I personally didn't work on the one act, but that was because I had my own project to work on. I used that class time to work on my costume design portfolio. I did a portfolio for Roal Dahl's Willy Wonka, and it is by far some of my best work. So much so that I even received a bronze award for my designs. That was definitely the peak of my time at Lenaea. While I was at the festival, there weren't any workshops that peaked my interest, so I never went to on. That didn't stop me from having a good time, because I was able to go to so many one acts. I was able to meet some new friends while I was there, and build stronger friendships with the friends I was there with. This was by far my favorite year at Lenaea.

Yeah, this has been quite amazing, seeing and meeting more and different people in the industry, learning from them and my own experiences, it being fun to do, see, and be apart of all the acting, behind the seance, just like the whole process of making, not only a production, not only a production in like 3 weeks, but an award winning production in 3 weeks, it was a really cool project to see happen, being able to contribute my own into it, then take some knowledge, memories, credit, and more back with me in the end.

The one act "At the Bottom of Lake Missoula" was super fun to work on. I stepped out of my comfort zone auditioning for the role of Pam but I am grateful I did. I felt like I got to grow my acting skills and it was a great opportunity to become more comfortable in front of people. I have trouble remembering things sometimes so it was a good challenge memorizing the lines and I learned what method works best for me. Performing for Another Openin' was nerve-racking but it got me more comfortable for performing for Lenaea. The theater at Lenaea that we performed at was really odd sound wise. It sucked everything up and it felt like I had a class box on my head. I was either loud enough or the respondents didn't say anything but I heard some really good points from them that I will take into mind in the future.

I started this off a day late because I wasn't here on the first day so I couldn't audition. but I still got a part in the play and I was super excited it seemed like a really cool play but then some things got in the way of doing it and so I ended up don't being able to do it but I still was there to help and it was really cool watching it all come together and seeing everyone memorize there lines it was really cool to see everyone's different takes on the story and watching the set pieces get added in and watch the sound effects get added in and the lighting it was very interesting. The costumes were also really good and related to the story. it was a really cool thing to be apart of. Comments are closed.
