This unit asked you to develop a design package that would propel a show from "page to stage."  Recall what the process was like perusing scripts to choose one you preferred. Then, what the creative journey was like considering inspirations and solving design challenges as set by the script. Ultimately, tell about your final presentation to the class of your original physical, worn, and sensory designs. Overall, what has this unit taught you about all the creative work that goes on behind the scenes of a theatrical production?

Techniques in Acting

Recall all the mini-tasks in this unit and something you gained from each:
1. warm-ups & improv
2. comedy & tragedy (duo scenes)
3. musical theatre choreography
4. puppetry

Then, choose your favorite portion of the unit and reflect on how you grew through the exercises all the way up to the performance for that section.

Theatre History Inquiry Project

Reflect on the exploration of theatre history through the series of fast-pass lectures all the way to choosing a inquiry to dive further into. Consider discussing the process of researching your question and developing an idea for an artistic response to what you found. Reveal what it was like presenting your inquiry journey to the class and ultimately how you feel about your finished artifact. What are your biggest take-aways from this experience?

Origin Story: Monologue

Reflect on the process of working as a creative artist: from nothing to something! Consider recalling the first steps of coming up with your "brainstorm" and using that to develop a story. Tell about your process writing and revising. Then inform us about the process of scoring, rehearsing and ultimately performing your monologue. Discuss moments of trouble through to Ah-has, and the take-aways you'll be moving forward with.
